Side Selection in Professional Play

Hello!

My name is GarlicFries. I'm currently writing an article on the new champion select, and my research has hit a roadblock. I've started looking into the blue/red sides (winrates, bans, and other cool stuff) in professional play, but am having enormous difficulty finding ANY documentation regarding side selection for the 2017 season, per region.

The closest thing I've found is the rule book for 2016 LCS, page 43. Unfortunately, I have no way of confirming if this is still the way side selection works, or which regions adhere to these policies.

I would appreciate feedback regarding where I can find either official rules for the 2017 season, or simply a reliable explanation for how this works, per region.
