Here's a few kinda random but nevertheless fun tidbits about today's EU LCS semifinal matchup.

Unicorns of Love

  • Vizicsacsi was the only player in the series to be Executed; granted, doing so is a normal part of Sion's strategy at this level of play.
  • Gnar was the 5th different champion pick for Kikis in the Spring Playoffs alone and 11th pick overall. None of Kikis's picks so far in the playoffs had been used by any EU jungler in the regular season.
  • Game 4 was the first time in five games in professional play this year in which Udyr lost.
  • Kikis and Hylissang are two players on UoL in the series to pick champions whom they did not win with at all with in the regular season. (Kikis = Gragas, Udyr, Gnar; Hylissang = Thresh)
  • PowerOfEvil is the second mid laner in LCS history to steal Baron (game 5). The first was Millenium's Kerp on Ziggs.
  • PowerOfEvil died 10 times between the five games, tied with Forg1ven for the least deaths in the series.
  • PowerOfEvil was the only player in the series to go two games without dying (games 1 and 3).
  • PowerOfEvil had the largest killing spree of the series, 11 kills on Kog'Maw in game 1.
  • PowerOfEvil had the highest single-champion KDA of the series, with a 15.00 KDA on Orianna between games 3 and 5.
  • Hylissang led everyone in the series with 21 deaths.
  • Hylissang had the lowest single-game KDA of the entire series (outside of game 3, where no one on SK got a kill), with a 0.57 KDA on Thresh in game 2.

SK Gaming

  • Every member of SK except Svenskeren lost at least once in the series with a champion with whom they had a perfect record in the regular season. (Fredy122 = Maokai, Fox = Zed/Orianna, Forg1ven = Tristana/Corki, nRated = Nami)
  • Game 3 was the first game this year that SK did not get a single kill.
  • Fredy122 is the only player on SK in the series to pick a champion that he had not played in the regular season (Shyvana).
  • Fox had the highest single-game KDA of the entire series, with a 21.00 KDA on Orianna in game 4.
  • Forg1ven dealt the most Damage to Champions in the series, with 147k over the five games. The second most was PowerOfEvil with 144.3k Damage to Champions.
  • Forg1ven, despite dying only 10 times in the series (tied with PowerOfEvil for the least), was the first death of the series, giving first blood to Kikis's Gragas.
  • Forg1ven, to no one's surprise, had the most CS (creep score) in each of the five games played.
  • Forg1ven achieved the Largest Critical Strike in the series, with a whopping 2221-damage attack on Caitlyn in game 4.
  • nRated's Nami had a 0.56 KDA in the two games played (both of them losses, of course). This is a stark contrast to the regular season when nRated went 5-0 with a 8.40 KDA on Nami.

Other

  • Lucian, Graves and Hecarim were banned all five games. Syndra, Cassiopeia and Lulu were banned for four of the five games.
  • The most picked champions in the series were Jinx and Shyvana, with four picks each.
  • This series saw Shyvana picked in the EU LCS for the first time this year. Teleport/Smite Shyvana was 1-3.
  • The winner of each game always placed more wards.

If y'all got any others, feel free to point 'em out!

In closing, I suggest you check out the matchup's results page on lolesports. It has the stats, the VODs, and if you go to the Player Builds and Game Analysis tab it'll have more in depth information, even including the runes, masteries, build and skill orders for everyone in the series.

This goes to show you that wards win games, people.

  • The winner of each game always placed more wards.

Hopefully my future teammates can all see this part. And no one on my enemy teams.

Huh? How's that the first time Udyr lost this year if Kikis lost with him in the regular season? Did you mean first in a best of 5?

Edit: Nevermind, I got it thanks. Kikis didn't play him in the regular season. So he technically never won I guess.
