Why is Worlds limited to 720p?
Seriously, for one of the most successful games in the world, you would think that such a huge event could be in 1080p at least. What's the holdup?
Are there factors such as upload time or traffic? I'm just curious.

If they went 1080p, so many people would struggle loading the stream. You gotta keep it a high enough quality to keep the stream at a constant framerate and resolution to make it look professional, while making it easier for mobile and people with weak computers able to view.
Seriously, for one of the most successful, if not the most successful games in the world...
Your sentence gave me cancer. Just look at your sentence, understand the redundancy, look down in shame, then laugh, and never use styles of speech you're not used to.
There's no reason why it shouldn't be available in 1080p. Every decent streaming service has 1080p HD with scale down streams available for users that can't handle higher def.
I think there's enough viewers... Sell adverts for better quality and more income Rito... :P Heck Worlds Finals are already aproaching 1/3 of the Superbowl views... few years time people could be like you see that LoL Worlds Commercial? It was fantastic!
the quality on youtube is better than on twitch
Mates... they cannot even maintain a stable 720p steam without it freezing all the time (youtube stream)... you want even more power?...
Yeah, at least give me the option to watch in higher quality if I have the internet to handle it.
I do have to wonder how much of a difference 1080P would really make. League isn't known for having high-end graphics. Streaming in a higher resolution isn't always the best way to increase quality. They might be further ahead just to stream in a higher bitrate at 720P.
