What happened to NA at worlds?

Seriously, what the heck happened? TSM shows no innovation and then when it really matters just straight up chokes. And last year it was the same exact same thing.

Immortals go 2 and one day one as well, all they have to do is win one game, one. They instead go o and four. Now, I know this is their first time at worlds but they clearly showed that they were able to preform in the first week

It's not as if NA is a bad region, they beat EU in rift rivals, but it seems like every time it comes to international play they choke horribly. Let's just hope C9 can actually preform well.

Here's the thing most people aren't getting: they may have won their games week 1, but they sure as hell weren't utterly decisive wins. Hell I'll go as far to say they were collectively the weakest wins for NA teams in the past years! Lack of refinement unlike the other contesting teams led to what we got over the past two days.

Utter refusal to adapt. TSM were exceptionally lucky to get out of week one with how atrocious they played and then come back week two and play the exact same team comps and champions they were getting blasted on week one.

WE came out with an innovative Cait cheese and destroyed everything. MSF decided to put thier support on a playmaker and played up tempo as well and only went to a tiebreaker because they threw super hard in one game.

Meanwhile TSM did the same things they did last week, Sven had no presence again, DL fed again, bio frost was stuck playing passive again and the games ended before Berg could scale up again.

In short they choked so hard it made immortals look good.

It's like the old saying goes insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Worlds is a whole different beast than such a short tournament like RR With Worlds strutcture the individual mehcanical quality of players and team synergy tend to emerge in week 2 after everyone catches on the current meta (that they could have misread by some teams entering in the tournament) and fix some bad habits ingrained from their regional play...and NA has been generally behind on individal player quality. NA teams can do well when they can someway make up for it, and they were rarely able to do it

I don't know what happened to IMT. They looked tired and I seriously wondered if they got enough sleep. They weren't on form at all. It's almost unthinkable that they go 0-4, but they did.

IMT got shafted by playing GAM first (love GAM). But GAM is unpredictable and definitely tilted the rest of their day.

Same thing that happens to NA at every worlds? Next question.
