Because Mundo sucks and isn't at an almost 90% soloqueue ban rate while Nidalee is strong with a winrate that is well over 46% in soloqueue....honest

I'm sure there's some "LCS is different" reason, but honestly why wouldn't you in this case? Strong disruptive front line with lockdown that let DLift and Bjerg pound away from safety is basically what won it for TSM

Whole game was terrible for both sides. NA is having a very terrible start to the week. Hopefully Immortals can save the day.

But honestly even though I wanted C9 to win, that ult onto Corki was hilarious

IMT doesn't look to bad , but nobody from the west looks good compared to the Tigers right now.

Ale non è male1 votes

I didn't intend to bash NA, eh, it is just that I don't see big margin of improvements for anyone and this is worrying IMT looks good, that's for sure, but I hope the other teams can step up and push theirself each other because otehrwise they would not look good going forward in the season

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

I don't care if you bash NA, I don't root for NA. I'm just saying that IMT doesn't look that bad compared to the rest of the region. How ever the GE/KOO/ROX Tigers look to be playing better than anybody in the world right now, and if they are the standard than no one looks good.

Ale non è male1 votes

The rest of NA region is looking bad, much worse than expected imho Eu is looking only a bit better, with team that seems working like G2 and H2K above others, and the thing is more that it looks like they could work on something to clicl later on in the season than actual play that is reassuring

To me, there is no team, not even top actual Koreans, that are looking even remotely close to the peak levels of past seasons, right now they are "only" the best at executing the actual meta that is the most standardized across all region that has ever been since Korea entered in the grand scheme of things competitively in LOL Of couse Koreans look better because with equal meta they just execute better mechanically, but I wouldn't bet on Tigers to stay ahead of anyone else from here to end of Spring Split alone...after all, last season after 3 weeks CJ Entus was first in Korea, and then look what happened to them afterwards

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

Lets just put it this way, H2K the EU super team that consist of 5 players with more than 1 year of competitive experience lost to a KR challenger team. If EU is better than NA, and the best team in EU looses to a KR challenger than what hope does any team in the west have against top tier KR teams.

Also not sure where your getting that CJ thing from, the Tigers where in first place for most of the spring split before that slump during IEM, and SKT were in first all throughout summer. CJ had flashes of brilliance but were never in first from what I remember.

After 2 days of training together, against a team that beat world champ SKT in the previous tournament While Origen dumpstered CLG that dumpstered the team that is actually 2nd in Korea that was just playing the first games together, and now is heavily struggling in EULCS

Do you see where these reasonings go? Pull out IEM result actually make little sense, and I think that overall Western regions aren't playing well. Just is, this is early in the season and you got t look just at sensation and look at what are margin of improvements, because the actual performances will be pretty much irrelevant in the long run

CJ got invited to IEM Katowice last season because they were tied with Tigers at first place in Spring Split shortly before the lockdown for standings (at least till week 4 they were tied with tigers at 1st, then maybe they fell behind a bit Tigers)

Kespa cup was one week after worlds, and SKT wouldn't have even been their if they weren't required too. To say they didn't care for that tournament is an understatement. And that 2 days training isn't an excuse when every one on the team has over a year of experience vs a team that has never played one game of professional LoL. Also Jin Air has a roster change from when they played at IEM so i don't even know why you brought them up, they aren't even using the same line-up.

The Jin Air and SKt ones aren't excuse either, why they should get a pass an H2K shouldn't

And this wasn't even the original point, it is nice how you are driving it on a completely different argument

The point is that, in this moment, no one is playing as well as the past peak levels in LOL pro scene, not even top koreans. In this moment there is a ugly standardized meta, which Koreans are executing better than anyone else Looking at Western regions, both Eu and NA are really underwhelming, with the only difference Eu looking like it has bigger margins of improvements going ahead in the season

What ever you need to tell yourself, but everyone knows KR is playing at higher level right now. Just hope that Riot messes up the schedule for MSI again this year like they did last year giving the KR team no time to prepare, then maybe your EU team can have a "close" series and you can feel right. All last year we heard everybody talk about how EU was the real deal and look how that ended up.

AHAHAH, you are just definitively come out as the salty fanboy you are here

You are just keep arguing no nothing cause you still got hurt in your poor feelings by the first answer that wasn't positive towards NA (for isntance, how did Na went last year if you can remeber me?)

KR is playing at much higher level than both Western regions, but no one is playing actually well as the past season, I don't think there is much to argue here I think we are in a phase where the meta is too standardized and is just going to who is adapted better to the meta and who executed it better mechanically, rather than team creatings their own style KR is obviously doing much betterm Eu and NA are both really sloppy, just I pointed out that Na looks like to have even less margin of improvfements than the other regions...it is you that started bringing out direct irrelevant pre-season matches because you wanted to bash EU

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

Where have i tried to defend NA at all lol? Do you even English? Your saying that KR isn't the best region cause you're a blind EU fanboy desperate to believe that they are on par with the Koreans.

No one is playing well? Maybe in those garbage regions in the west, but in KR where the competition is stronger than an International tournament they are definitely playing well. The top four teams are all right there with one another and could destroy any team from any region right now.

I don't care how much "Margin of improvement" EU has. There a trash region that will get destroyed like always when they play a Korean team. That's why EU got shit on in worlds 0-6 in the semifinals with both of their "top 4" teams.

You're clinging on to this NA theory becasue as always that's all EU can do when KR reminds them how trash they are. You just keep telling yourself that KR isn't playing good, and when they 3-0 your irrelevant region and win another worlds I don't want to hear any ExcUses.

AHAHAHAHAH Where? Exactly? I'm saying that KR is far better than Western regions 8which, you know includes EU), but are really wosre than the peaks reached in the past in Lol pro plays

If there is anyone that do not know English is you there

In KR they are playing well in comparison with West, not in comparison with the peak levels they reached

It is fun how you got fired up after a comment that was underlining NA troubles and needed to shittalk Eu when i'm saying Eu is not playing good this moment, but if anything I see more room to grow for Eu teams going ahead in the season...but i'm clingin on na thory, right?

LMFAO, you are the kind of salty NA fanboy that got ridiculed even more when NA shit the bed in international competition, because rather than debate feel the need to shittalk the other regions

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

Lol EU still clinging to NA cause that's all you have.

I literally only told you that KR is still the best region in the world and playing better than anybody. Then you started deflecting talking about how much more room EU has for improvement compared to NA.

It doesn't matter that EU will be better than NA, or how much they will improve. On EU's best day its still an EZ 3-0 for KR because the region is trash lol.

But go ahead, keep bringing up NA becasue you're a salty EU fan that cant stand to hear how bad your region is compared to KR. Watching EU fans with your excuses and deflections never gets old, I'm loving this.

Which nobody has disagreed on?

Then you started deflecting talking about how much more room EU has for improvement compared to NA.

Because I answered to a post that was talking about NA, and then you started to bring out other regions (I started talking abut Eu and KR too after that you started mentioning Tigers

It doesn't matter that EU will be better than NA, or how much they will improve. On EU's best day its still an EZ 3-0 for KR because the region is trash lol.

Which is why you are showing as fanboyish as I was simply commenting on NA without the intention of bashing it while you felt the need to bash Eu?

But go ahead, keep bringing up NA becasue you're a salty EU fan that cant stand to hear how bad your region is compared to KR. Watching EU fans with your excuses and deflections never gets old, I'm loving this.

Except that again it was you to bring out the other regions?

Yeah, go ahead shittalking Eu because you just can't stand someone simply commenting on Na and KR

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

No you made a meme about how all of NA that looks bad. I just replied that it isn't just NA, everyone outside of KR looks bad. Then you became a salty EU fanboy trying to say that KR isn't actually that good then went off on some random EU>NA rant.

Like I said KR is still the standard and everyone else isn't on that level. So talk about EU's "room for improvement." Talk about how they are better than NA. And talk about how KR isn't really playing that well, and at the end of the year when everyone else is calling another KR team(Tigers) world champions I'll look back on this and laugh.

Ale non è male1 votes

{quoted}

No you made a meme about how all of NA that looks bad.

It wasn't a meme. Na doesn't look good, and the worse thing is not they are not good now, but they don't seem to have big margin of improvements The level teams are playing right now is not super relevant, imho, because we are in a situation where teams aren't really developping their play, but they are all playing the same meta, and the teams who are playing it better are coming out on top, but this means little going forward in the season, because you can't extract much from that. If patch 6.4 or 6.5 change the meta, you have suddenly all the situation turned upside down because right now there isn't a team that is imposing their own style of play, and this includes Koreans as well

The only thing you can extract from the actual games when looking ahead of the season are sensations of how team dynamics and synergy among teams are going, and how much margin of improvements teams have upon things they are not doing well right now but should be kinda easy to fix

You can clearly see the teams for which dynamics are working like th best koreans team with tigers ahead of them all, IMT, NRG, h2k, G2, and teams that aren't performing super well, but can look ahead with some optimist because there are things they could pretty much fix If I look at Na teams, independetly from how they are playing and what is their actual level in the current meta, you can see that for some teams dynamics are just not there like TSM or C9 or teams that are capped by lack of talent like CLG...the future doesn't seem bright for most of them (barring exceptions) if they don't quickly turn things around, while for Eu you can see less of these difficult to fix problems, even though right now is not more than slighlty ahead NA

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

Ok my original post said NA looks bad outside of Immortals. Your basically just agreeing with that.

"If patch 6.4 or 6.5 change the meta, you have suddenly all the situation turned upside down because right now there isn't a team that is imposing their own style of play, and this includes Koreans as well"

This I don't agree with. The tigers had a reputation for most of last year as being passive early and playing well from behind. Now they have done a complete 180 and are playing aggressive in the early and keeping that momentum as the game move on in a meta where everyone else is so afraid of the death timers to commit to anything.

Immortals is doing something similar where they are not afraid to play aggressive in a meta where everyone else want to play passive, but I don't know how much of that success is just playing in NA.

Ale non è male1 votes

Tigers's best skill was the teamwork and rotations, which is something that is heavily empathized on the meta all teams are playing given how the snowball effect upon taking towers and getting a good push is super strong Given that SKT also had roster changes and is still finding their rhytm theirselves, it seems natural to me that they are easily ahead of their competition, still, I am still wary from looking at them as true dominators because it seems to me that it is the other teams that are very far from finding their form and they are looking so dominant because of that, more than because they are playing at a level close to S4 Samsung teams or S5 SKT

IMT are doing the same thing. They look super good right now, but the reason why they look so dominant is more because the other teams are doing really abd rather than their good play

Don't misunderstand me, Tigers and IMT are playing really really well...But I would wait for some team to actually come out with soemthing different before crown them as the king of their region, because I frankly don't believe we'll have 1 meta for the entire season. The problem is, if you don't develop good team dynamics or your players aren't just good enough you can't develop these unique style of play that can make the success of a team

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

"Tigers's best skill was the teamwork and rotations"

It wasn't that's why they tanked in the cinderhulk meta. They had solid laners and the ability to fight well with a gold deficit. Monte himself said they looked completely different at worlds when they were getting early game leads through map movements.

In the tigers case they might avoid what happened to them last year when they faltered because of an unfavorable meta with their change at jungle. Since Hojin really didn't do well with tanks early in the season.

Meta shifts usually aren't enough to just completely ruin a top tier team. SKT's head coach said that EU and CN had adapted better to the juggernaut meta than KR had going into worlds, could you really tell? I mean most of the top level teams in the past remained so through out, like the old SKT, SSW, SSB etc. I just don't think these teams are benefiting form the meta, but we'll see.

Ale non è male1 votes

Tigers is benefitting from the meta because it fits their play style centered around map movements and early game lead snowballing into wins

Meta can and will change the balance between teams

Tigers are just good overall as they were consistently top 3 in korea last seaosn and they got even better with the jungle swap, but the reason why they seems so good is because they are the one that are interpreting the meta the best, and there is literaly no variation of this meta brought by any team in the major regions so far. When some alternative meta will surpace to challenge the actual one, or the general meta change we'll see how they'll react

iamleburk1 votes

well Tigers is setting the standards a little high. I think the west has a great top echelon of teams this year that put last year's counterparts to shame. H2K and IMT are the obvious ones, but NRG, TSM, FNC, G2, OG, VIT all seem really strong as well, with UOL, CLG and C9 closely behind them and could very well pick up some speed or have an impressive play off run later in the split. All of those teams are starting off a little shaky, but then again so is everyone else not named ROX Tigers. It's not what they are now, it's what they will become as the split goes on.

Also, barely anyone looks good compared to the ROX Tigers. The only team you can even argue is SKT, who did put up a fight, but they keep playing their subs and ruining their chances for clear and concise wins. So they do not look very clean at all right now.
