I'm just curious as to what's so special about August 8th that seems to cause a lot of the regions to either start playoffs/have their grand finals on that day?

NA/EU LCS and the GPL start their playoffs while the CBLOL, LJL, LAT, TCL, and OPL hold their grand finals...all on the same day.

It's gonna be hell for people like me who like to watch all the different regions.
