League of Legends Hall of Fame?
I was thinking that eventually there should be a Hall to be a HOF'er, accomplishments, consistency, performance in their region, performance at international events, popularity etc.
Here are my picks for HOF'ers, and players that should be considered for the HOF once they eventually retire, admittedly I'm from NA so I am not super familiar with players from the other regions.
Retired Guys Reginald, HotshotGG, SaintVicious, Dyrus, The Odd One, XPeke (Plus many more I'm sure from Korea, China, EU, many of the guys who led the way, the first LoL stars are slowly slipping from memory, which is why a Hall would be nice)
Future Hall of Famers
Faker, Froggen, Westdoor, Aphromoo, Hai, Lemonnation, Yellowstar, Bjergsen, Loulex, Febiven, Rekkles, Doublelift, Marin, CPT Jack, Madlife, Uzi, Imp, Clearlove, Deft, Mata, GodV, Kakao, Impact, Insec, Pawn, Dade, Alex Ich, XiYang
I'm sure there are a lot more, but that's what I have so far. What do you guys think? And do you think Riot should create a hall of fame in the next few years? The average career for a pro player seems to be like 3 years, very few play more than that, so unlike traditional sports, it's kind of hard to create a perfect set of criteria. I was going based off regional results (Dyrus, Odd One didn't do well internationally, but they consistently were the best team in NA for several Splits, and internationally). Regi is a no brainer considering all he has done for the Esports scene, along with HotshotGG, SaintVicious was one of the most popular figures in the LoL pro scene at it's conception and has definitely left his mark on the sport. That's my defense for the NA guys.
