The only diversity I've ever seen is in mid (Vel'Koz, Syndra, wow much diversity 4 champs), NOWHERE else have I seen diversity.

As dumb as it was for Riot to release the Juggernaut patch right before Worlds last year, we got to see a buttload of champion diversity. Darius's presence alone allowed so many picks to come out that could play around him.
That's because its the LCS, teams will always pick the safest and strongest champs they know how to play currently. They dont wanna risk a lose by picking a new champion they probably havent practiced with in a while.
