But if it's exciting, you complain about #LC$BIGPLAY$

I don't really know why people complain about the lane swaps. It's like a five to ten minute period of time where both teams make a gentleman's agreement to not be stupid. There is almost always plenty of fighting afterwards (or they screw up the swap and there is fighting earlier), and the game ends up being just as enjoyable as it has always been.

I'd say a more appropriate complaint is about champion diversity, but that is difficult since Riot does not balance purely for the benefit of high Elo and professional play. Professionals have their livelihood at stake when they're playing, they can't really afford to mess around just to make it more exciting. Watch the team you like and maybe a couple other games for fun and you won't get so frustrated at the realization that they're all playing the same game.

Its Riot's job to tweak the game to make it more enjoyable to the viewers. I dont really care what know-it-all analysts and various people think. The people who pay the bills, are the viewers. There is a reason the NFL constantly changes the rules to make it more exciting for the fans.

If the current iteration of lane swaps is causing incredibly boring and snowbally games, then its in Riot's best interest to tweak the game to make the viewer more entertained. Not to keep it all complex so someone like Monte likes it more.

As it stands, the only exciting games are standard lanes.

I think you're misunderstanding what people mean when they post #LC$BIGPLAY$.

It really has nothing to do with the excitement level of the LCS, it's more to do with the biases that have at least historically been present (I'd argue still are) in Riot's balance. When certain, mostly playmaking champions have been heavily dominant in the LCS for months or years at time people tend to use #LC$BIGPLAY$ to poke fun at Riots biases.

Fair enough, but for me personally I enjoy the maneuvering around objectives just as much as I enjoy the team fights. Although if they were to buff the towers to the point where it would be nearly impossible to trade them early I would not be entirely opposed, since stupidly weak towers are one of my biggest gripes with this entire season. One bad decision in Laning phase shouldn't result in a loss of a tower as it seems to nowadays, but that's a discussion for another thread.
