Back when TSM Dark or whatever it was, was a thing... They were forced to change organizations to maintain honesty in the League. But now there's a Fnatic Academy?
Did it get repealed or did something change? I stopped watching for a year or so, so it's possible.

GeminiRune1 votesTo further support this, sister teams are allowed. But for NACS sister teams are no longer allowed to compete in promotion tournament. EUCS will adopt a similar rule, but only that sister teams will not be allowed at all.
ABlueQuaker3 votesTL;DR - 'Academies' are allowed in the Challenger Series, but if they make it into LCS they have to sell the team. Ttherwise a dominant organisation could eventually own most of the teams and that would potentially compromise the competitive integrity of the LCS.

TurquoiseYoshi2 votesIf a team is in Challenger, the team is allowed to co-exist with the main team. HOWEVER, as of this split in NA and next split in EU, those teams will not be able to go to the Promotion Tournament, won't be able to get into LCS, and won't be able to have their slot sold for money.
