Anyone defending Riot still?

So a lot of people were defensive of Riot months ago for a string of bad moves.

  • Changing LCS to Bo1 again
  • Franchising leading to several notable Esports organizations shut out and leading to an NBA ownership dominated league.
  • Bad balance of items and champions, leading to very one-sided matches.

Let's look at what's happening now.

  • ADCs aren't really even a thing in Esports comps
  • Teams are scrambling to figure out who to put where playing what because game balance swung SO HARD in a new direction. Stars even getting benched because it's so wonky and they can't perform well in such an altered landscape.
  • Rift Scuttler
  • Game breaking crashes that can't even be restored by the program MEANT to recover a crash.

Can we have a serious talk now and can people admit and agree Riot is seriously screwing up? Are people willing to call out Rito for turning their game into trash? Ready to take them to task for ruining the esport? Prepared to remove your rose tinted Gunners, look at some of these older issues, and see it as the beginning of this horrible path?

I've let it slide a bit, but I'm renewing my call, because this is the best way to impact Riot and get their attention. BOYCOTT Boycott LCS streams. Boycott their RP store. Boycott their merchandise. Let Riot know what they are doing is unacceptable and drastic measures are needed to improve the product to keep going on.

Riot can't win. Last year the complaint was 3 ADCs are dominating and everyone always plays he same thing. This year it's I want my 3 ADCS and everyone playing the same thing.

I'm having fun. Summer Split has been madness so far. Vladimir versus Swain as botlane carries? Yes please, things were getting boring,

Spring was basically AlistarBraumLeona MorganaRakan ThreshTahmKench support,
Zoe SwainRyze MalzaharCorki Cassiopeia Azir mid, Xayah Varus KogMaw Kaisa EzrealCaitlyn TristanaKalista ADC, Ornn MaokaiGnar Gangplank ChogathCamille Top , and TrundleJarvanIV Khazix jungle with a lot of top flex, over and over and over and over again.

You would be surprised how diverse this isn't. I saw so many consecutive games running Caitlyn TristanaKalista in some combination that I wanted to fall asleep, particularly when TahmKench was added into the mix. There's nothing like a Kalista TahmKench lane for pure excitement, let me tell you.

Now LCS is wide open and fun and entertaining to watch, and I learn a bunch.

The game is not nearly as broken and un-fun as you all think. When I started accepting that losses and stomps are part of any player's life, and got an M6+ champion I really loved and a good secondary backup stable, I found the hidden joys in League once again.

The chronobreak did indeed recover the game. The unfortunate part was the bug that caused the crash remained. It wasn't a one time thing. Notice they took Taliyah off line and in Korea early the next week they put her back on line but you could not take smite with her. A micro patch was released after.

I agree that games are a snooze fest -

I stopped playing league about a year ago but this new meta looks ok as far as champions but the game time/get behind = easy lost.

LCS games are boring to watch - Who wants to watch 20 min stumps?

Fixed it, because yeah they are. There's a fair share of AD champions running rampant in some games. Nocturne, Camille, Master Yi, Super Kai'Sa. It's called strategic diversity.
