Tournament of Nations

So to start, I figured this to be on the eSports Boards in stead of the Concepts Board because more people here would like to talk about eSports as myself. So I came up with an idea and thought of posting it up here, even if it doesn't become noted or thought of by Riot I thought it would be cool to share. The 'Tournament of Nations' is an international tournament similar to that of the World Cup for football or IAAF for track. Also similar to the already known Worlds tournament, it would bring the best teams together, but, instead of playing for your team, Hai for Cloud 9 or Bjergsen for TSM, you would play for your home country. So for example where Bjergsen plays for a North American LCS team, in the ToN, he would play for the Danish National Team.

The format for qualifying would be similar to the World Cup, national squads would get called up turning splits to play qualifiers against other teams in their continent, rather than region. Continent would send teams (nations) to this tournament by the size continent. The larger the continent, the more teams sent to compete. Qualifying would be like a mini tournament over the course of two splits. There would be a group stage, and depending on continent size, the knockout stage would vary in size.

Qualifiers: Group: Best of 2's would be executed, 3 points for win, 1 for draw, and 0 for a loss. The top team(s) would continue on to the knockout stage. Knockout Round: Best of 3's. Winner moves on. Single-Elimination. For some continents, there would only be a group stage, where the top 3 teams move on and any tie-breakers needed to be dealt with would be best of 3's.

Tournament Format: 4 Groups of 4 countries would be drawn at random in separate pools and just like worlds, countries cannot be in the same group as countries of same continent. USA could not be with Canada, Germany could not be with Denmark, etc. The games would be best of 2's, they would go over the course of one month for groups. Weeks 1 and 2 would be for groups A and B, weeks 3 and 4 for groups C and D. The point system would be the same for qualifications and tie-breakers would be best of 3's. Top two teams continue on to the knockout stage. For the knockout stage, the bracket would be divided to two sides. On the left side, A1 would play D2, and B2 would play C1. On the right side the opposite, A2 and D1, B1 and C2. The games would be best of 5's. Game A1-D2 and B2-C1 would play on the same day, A2-D1 and B1-C2 the same but on the following. Winners would move on and play each other in another series of best of 5's. The winners go on to the finals and the losers play in the 3rd place game. Both would be best of 5's.

Not to be confused with All-Star those, where those are more fun, casual games where leagues/regions team up to create two teams (Ice and Fire) this would be more competitive and wouldn't be regions/continents teaming up. This also is not an idea to replace worlds but simply add another tournament to fill possibly November and parts of December.

Thanks for reading, considering, and any othr ideas placed in the comments.

I'm a fan of the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup for the very reason that it's nation against nation. I would love to watch this and get a group of friends together, paint ourselves in the Red, White, and Blue (While I secretly have the Italian and Irish colors saved up for those days) and watch the fun. I would buy tickets for that event. I want Riot to see this.
