2015 Worlds Group Stage Predictions (By: DCI)

Group A:

  • Koo Tigers (Korean teams have proven to be among the best--if not the best, and seeing as though Koo Tigers were the 2nd seeded team from the LCK, it's a safe bet to assume they will get first place in the group).

  • Flash Wolves (due to CLG's jungler not being able to attend world's, Flash Wolves will have a much better chance at taking the 2nd spot).

  • CLG (Pain Gaming mentioned playing "Top NA" teams and doing well. However that does not mean they played the "Best NA" teams. CLG being the best NA team is sure to beat out the wildcard).

  • Pain Gaming

Group B:

  • Invictus Gaming (Fnatic is a mid-to-late game team, that being said, considering "Asian" teams tend to put a lot of pressure in the early stages of the game, IG's jungler will prove to be the determining factor in helping IG get the first place slot).

  • Fnatic (Although AHQ E-sports Club are strong contenders, I think they aren't quite as good as IG is in the early stages of the game, and so will drag the match into the later stages of the game, where Fnatic will out-scale them).

  • AHQ E-sports Club (Cloud 9 have no chance due to their team "disbanding" issues. Hai just isn't as good of a Jungler as he was a mid-laner and without Meteos, Cloud 9 just doesn't have what it takes to compete at the international level).

  • Cloud 9

Group C:

  • SKTelecom T1 (The top seeded LCK team... nuff' said).

  • Edward Gaming (2nd seeded from the LPL and a known-strong team).

  • H2k (Europe's 2nd seeded team should have no problem against the wildcard).

  • Bangkok Titans

Group D:

  • LGD Gaming (Top seeded from the LPL... again... nuff' said).

  • KT Rolster (3rd seeded LCK team, but still a good competitor despite being 3rd place... we're talking about Koreans here)!

  • Origen (Considering they scale well into the late game, much like Fnatic, Origen will unfortunately not stand a chance against KT Rolster but be able to beat the "weak TSM" upon hitting the later stages of the game).

  • TSM

What do you think about my picks? And if you have any suggestions let me know! Thanks and I hope everyone does well with their picks!

CLG will no doubt go out of groups! I would've said they will be first, but the different jungler will probably hold them back against KOO.

Other than that, CLG has the beast top and bot lanes, and a very safe mid laner.

I've heard that PAIN are quite strong, and they might just swipe Yoe, after all AHQ just destroyed them, so PAIN might crush them as well.

Group B is ... well. 3 teams to contest the two seeds. To be fair it could be any of the 3 claiming the spots. I believe, however, that FNC will grab the first place. You are right saying that they excel in late game, but they are also known for their really safe play when things don't go their way, until they reach their peaks.

On top of that IG is very inconsistent.

The seeds might be actually FNC,AHQ... I pretty sure on the FNC first place though.

Group C mostly agree, but expect an upset from H2K. The Bangkok Titans are a force to be considered. Anyway, your way is just as possible as my way.

Group D It's either this, or OG as second spot. The same as Fnatic, but to a bit lesser degree. They are still young team and not that patient, but lets not forget that they took 2 games out of FNC and almost the series.

Anyway - it will be exciting worlds this year. So many regions with strong teams. The west has stepped up a ton, and even the wildcards and Taiwan are getting quite good.

That's just my opinion :P
