A question regarding the Challenger Series and the LCS

Hallo there again!

I didn't get this question answered last time, but it's a very important topic to me!

My question is... What would happen to a team of all gold [solo queue] players if they won the Challenger Series? There's an LCS rule [3.2] that states that you can only recruit players of Diamond Solo Queue rank or above to join a team that applies for the LCS, but as far as I know, winning the Challenger Series automatically puts you in the LCS and there's no solo queue rank limiter for the CS.

Really hoping someone can clear this confusion up.

I feel like, and I'm not sure, but I think that someone who auto-qualifies for LCS is different than someone recruited for LCS. It might just be a small word change, but I feel like that's how it is.

TurquoiseYoshi is most likely right, but most likely if the players can't reach diamond, then they can't reach challenger.

You would compare this to someone coming out of college and going into the draft and someone being in the free agency.

They have a rule that if your picked up for the LCS players MUST be high Caliber.

Although if a team of bronze or golds could win through the challenger series they could get in.

But a team of gold solo que players would have to have a top 16 challenger team And beat 2 other challenger teams in a best of 3 to even qualify to play in the challenger series.

Let alone win it to get into the lcs.

Hope this answers things.

thnx,

I think there is a rule that all LCS players (including subs) must be at least Diamond 3 in solo q.
