Hes easy to counter. Unlike what boards likes to say, he is pathetically easy to fight in lane. Even easier to starve in lane, and even easier to fight in teamfights. If he even so much as ults more than 1 person, he will die before he lands more than 1 auto.

People like to freak out about how OP he is, whenever I see him, if he ults he suicides. 5 man ult? Dies the very second everyone lands. Hardly seems like it was worth it if all he did was a measly 500ish damage to the team if he was the carry of the enemy team and died.

The biggest problem with that is, who do the 5 ulted people focus if they weren't instantly shredded by his bonus crit chance? Most Yasuo's I've played wait 'til about halfway through the teamfight to ult, when everyone is around 1/2 to 3/4, and it always lands at least a double kill. You might be saying "Well what about team positioning? just spread out so you don't get ulted all at once." Well, this always happens when my team starts to win the teamfight and they start retreating while we follow. And don't even get me started on his 100% crit chance with 2 items, bonus crit armor pen, and his wind shield that refills upon activation of ult. Also bloodthirster.

too risky for the advantages he brings. Only a team like Rox would have the skill to savly get him going, and for them it´s just not worth the time as they don´t need any cheese to win anyways.

Except Kuro isn't a good Yasuo player, which is why they lost to WE in IEM last year when they played him. Smeb certainly isn't playing the pick any time soon.

I still enjoy playing Yasuo and once he gets a static shiv he's pretty strong. Plus very mobile.

They play only OP champions. Yasuo is now balanced (maybe even weak) - you can pick him only with team built around him without being useless.

He is asking about the pros... You can't "carry" vs other people on your level - it's not solo Q . Yasuo has many bad lane matchups and is unreliable. I've seen him recently in the pro scene only as counterpick to TF or Gnar.

He was last season. He's just out of the pro meta. He relies too much on big risky plays when the pro meta right now relies around minimum risk maximum reward team comps. Hence the double laneswap 3v0 lanes with people like Leblanc Corki Mid.

because of the meta and how ridiculously bad this meta is for him. he has a lot of team fight counters, lane counters, and since he is a high-risk high-reward champion in a meta where everyone just plays really safe, it's not really the most ideal thing to have a yasuo.

I suppose. But his windwall is huge for fights and people still play zed in the LCS. And Yasuo in a team fight is more of a contributor then zed.

yasuo being better than zed in teamfights? that is kind of subjective. even if yasuo does manage to get a good ulti off, he will still likely be instantly deleted if not blowing a flash or somehow manages to kill the enemy damage dealers right after the ult is done. zed has tons of safety and can assassinate the enemy adc while getting out safely, which is not something that yasuo can do. to add to this yasuo has been in a worse position (besides pre-nerf warlord's) ever since pre-season 6 started because of the shiv change and also with the IE AD nerf.

He's super unreliable and loses most matchups a mid. As for top, he's only good against gnar, who isn't in the meta currently. As for Yasuo in solo queue. I hate seeing this champion on my team. Even in mid gold Yasuo mains find a way to be complete idiots. Personally I've never seen a toxic riven main, but I've seen plenty of toxic Yasuo mains. This champion is straight up just bad in gameplay and in its community.

Can't win without being hyper aggressive, in coordinated play the enemy JG will shut that down. Additionally he is very weak to CC chain and nuke, something done very well at the pro level.
