Well China and NA are the most desiring to win at worlds as nether have been on the top.

It's because in the past, Korea's Esports scene as a whole was a national identity for them much like MLB or NFL in the US. In the US, however, the Esports scene (though it's grown a lot since S2) has been more like the Minor Leagues. NA is getting close to being on par with the likes of Korea and China now, though and it won't be long until an NA team wins the World Championships.
