Interesting Issue

Me and three people I play with cannot get past the champion select screen. Each of us, living in different houses and using different computers, all experienced the exact same problem trying to load into a game. Our client minimized like it normally does, but instead of loading the champ loading screen, we get nothing. We see our desktop, we can close the client, we can relog, but we can't actually get into the game.

Pretty frustrating. That thing I circled is the only thing we can interact with.

Solution Edit: Apparently this issue isn't isolated. We followed these instructions by a fellow player and everything seems to be working fine now.

Avast detected the LolLauncher and LeagueOfLegends as viruses. You need to go to your virus chest and add it to exclusions. I did that and now it actually works.

How to restore files:

Right click the avast icon in your tray and open avast user interface Click on statistics Component status Virus Chest Right click LeagueOfLegends.exe and LoLLauncher.exe and click restore and add to exclusions
