Ssumday for Hauntzer... what could have been LCS 2018-2019

Lets take a trip back to third week last split... 100 Thieves is 0-4. Ssumday, arguably their most talented player, is benched for an academy top in favor of playing Ryu over Shitigo. Golden Guardians has just undergone/is about to undergo roster changes with Deftly and Olleh out in favor of OCE adc FBI and former-mid Huhi, a move that will go down as an arguably net even move. Both teams look like the playoffs are possible, but not without a change.

I had proposed this idea: "What if 100T and GGS make a trade, Ssumday for Hauntzer straight up...would there be any winners/losers to this trade?" Let's be real, at the time, this sounded incredibly foolish for GGS and only a win for 100T potentially. Hauntzer is a top-5 top and even if Ssumday is an upgrade, at what cost? Do you run Keith (whom was traded for when Deftly was moved to C9A) dumping FBI and just hope for the best as you only get 2 imports(Froggen and Ssumday would fill those)? Either way you added it up, it was clear GGS wasn't winning this trade at the time. 100T, however, get to run a lineup of Hauntzer, Amazing, Ryu, Bang and Aphromoo and might I say HOLY SHITAMOLY did that sound great.

Fast-forward to yesterday. Ssumday is DUMPSTERING GGS and Hauntzer, solo killing FBI and Hauntzer at will on a mean top-lucian performance. GGS and 100T look to be in the exact same spot as last year... just with worse pieces now. So this begs the question... What if? What if we got to see Ssumday, Contractz, Froggen, Keith, Olleh and Hauntzer, Amazing, Ryu, Bang, Aphromoo become a reality last split? How good would these teams have been the rest of the split and would any of them possibly replace Clutch as our 3rd seed at worlds??? Thanks for the read and leave an upvote and comment!
