The future of Dyrus.
Should he stay or get replaced? And if you say replace, who should take his spot?
Should he stay or get replaced? And if you say replace, who should take his spot?
He should do whatever he wants. If he good enough to play then he should play.
Now TSM should keep him or he should stay on TSM that is a different story.
TSM will not be the best in the world with Dyrus or Wildturtle still on the team heck they are not even best in NA anymore.
I don't know if Dyrus even reached his peck play but clearly it not worked with TSM to motivate him to do that.
He is gonna retire so replace
He should definitely replace the team with one that wont drag him down.
situation for Dyrus is kinda similar to Kobe Bryant .
I do think a lot of the problems come from Dyrus and Turtle, but also issues arise with the synergy between lustboy and Santorin. I can't put all blame on Dyrus.
I think Dyrus is better than Santorin, and probably turtle, which is the sad thing. I mean, who are they going to replace him with anyways? They can't have another international player, and who are they gonna get thats going to make any better of an impact than Dyrus, esp. with Santorin and Turtle?
Personally, I feel like TSM is starting to falter. They are literally carried by Bjergsen any and every win they get. Its like Bjergsen and friends. Outside of him, the rest of their roster is really meh. You take him off that team, and they probably get relegated.
I mean, Dyrus has champion pool issues, but he always has. They have other issues.
When TSM can finally have a team without any NA player then there is hope for the NA region.
Thats team-based, though. I mean on an individual level, there is talent in NA. When people evaluate players, they have to stop focusing solely on the team play. This seems to be a tendency, and why some players are rated better than they really are. There are decent players scattered on CS teams. But those teams are very poor. And, for the most part, LoL is not like a real sport, where a great player looks great on a bad team. Barry Bonds was on a losing team, still belting 70 homeruns. Barry Sanders was on a trash Lions team, still racking up thousands of yards and being amazing. This does not happen in league. For the most part, your stats reflect your win-rate. If you are on a losing team, your stats are generally going to be very poor, no matter how good a player you are. And, mediocre players are going to look good, because of being on winning teams. Thats just how league works, sadly.
Of course these players are going to struggle vs top tier teams because they lack the competitive experience in dealing with competitive games. But, they have mechanics.
And, its not like there is a lot of LCS teams. Its not like you have to field tons of talent. You have 50 pro players.
Another issue is the seemingly difficult system of getting these good players, onto good teams. Look how long it took freaking Zionspartan to get on a decent team. The entire current Lifespan of the LCS. Thats a travesty, and honestly shouldn't happen.
Zion has been good the entire time. He has been on bad teams. Again, that makes my point. You are never going to look that good on losing teams. All people care about is winning teams, and their stats. Reckless trash last split, amazing this split. Forgiven best western ADC last split, this split people are like what happened? Bad teams thats what happened. Again, this isn't like pro sports, where you can still put up great numbers being on a bad team.
It had nothing to do with Zion battling his way there. He was always considered a top NA top laner, and he was always considered capable of carrying. But until you are on a WINNING team, no one gives a crap. Now that hes on a winning team, people are like "OMG hes turned into the best NA top laner!!!!!" When in reality was good the entire time, just on shit teams. If he started off on TSM or some top team, instead of being on Coast, people would have been saying this a long time before now. People overhype players on winning teams, and dont give enough credit to players on losing teams, becuase the stats themselves never really show the real truth. Because, when you are winning, even your worst player is going to be putting up good numbers, and when you are losing your best players are going to be putting up mediocre ones.
Who cares, cloud 9 ftw.
I'm not missing the point. The point is, he was always good. Working his way up had nothing to do with it. You could have stuck him on the #1 team from the start and it wouldn't have made a difference. He would have just been thought of like he is now: best in NA. Their are other players like him, stranded on piss poor teams or in solo Q, being overlooked for garbage like Impaler, Jesiz, some random Shrimp dude, etc. It has nothing to do with these ladders you speak of. Players like Sneaky were good from the get-go, on a good team.
And, you are giving Eu too much credit. Outside of Fnatic and maybe Origen, the rest of the teams are just as lack luster and cringe worthy as NA teams. When a team like Giants is playing for a worlds spot, you have just as many issues as NA does. Eu is only better than NA at the very top, and ONLY with Fnatic. Outside of that its pretty much even across the board. Stop giving mediocre teams kudos for simply getting stomped by a great team like Fnatic. When mediocre teams like Roccat, UoL, and Giants can play for a worlds spot, you cannot seriously tell me the EU scene is any better. Those are bottom tier teams in NA, too.
I know you have pride in your region, but lay off the sauce. You have Fnatic, and MAYBE Origen, even though I think they are a bit over-rated. Hell, in Fnatic's case, they have 2 koreans. So in reality, EU doesnt seem that much better, if at all, than NA. The rest of your teams are just as mediocre as any of the mediocre NA teams. Like I said; the top 2 NA teams atm are almost primarily NA players, at least showing that you CAN field a NA team with NA players and succeed. Its just there is this stigma that somehow people across the pond don't have as good of mechanics, in a game that doesn't have that difficult of mechanics to begin with. This isn't Quake we are talking about here.
Should be replaced. Not because he is as bad as some people think, but because it is clear he is not going to get any better at this point, and drag on with mediocre play in next years would only ruin his very good career resume (he could probably still play for mid/bottom of the table teams in NA LCS and do well, imho)
I say that after Dyrus retires, TSM somehow coaxes Westrice out of retirement. I want the Dirty Akali back!
