Not fair to say TL lost to a 7th place team

Just wanted to voice that out there. This is C9 the team that has been dominant in NA. They had bad regular season, but the C9 that showed up to the gauntlet is the 1st-2nd place team they've always been. TL lost to THAT team, not someone comparable to NME or T8.

Its not that they lost to "a" 7th place team, its that they lost to "The" 7th place team. C9 had a very bad season, no doubt. But then, so did T8, TDK, and Enemy Esports. Some of us don't think its fair to TL. TL had a very good season. They deserve that last seed in the worlds. They were right behind TSM. However, this gauntlet round of games basically says "Fuck the season, lets have the next top 4 teams battle it out." C9 was basically given a pardon, and now they go to worlds.

I'm not against C9. They are NA. I am NA. I don't like Hai, I think he's an arrogant prick, same with Incarn, but you know what? They are an NA Team. That's awesome that they are going to represent us with Tsm and Clg. But, I fully believe that liquid deserved that spot. That's my opinion.

Wait, wait, wait. You're actually serious? People are actually saying this?

I think people are more annoyed by the overrating of Liquid and their dream team in general. I get tired of hearing how they had the best team on paper. How? I mean how? They dont even have a top player, and the teams they lost to, all had comparable positions if not better in most cases.

They did lose to a 7th place team. YOu have to look at the other factor in that the Gauntlet had a max of 15 games possible to play. C9 came in playing 10 games to find things that work in real settings with many scrims being less "real" than actually playing the game on stage. C9 was given 14 games total which is almost a full season of the LCS. To me this shows how important and how much of a change doing extra games does to preparing a team. I'm not trying to discredit C9 for winning all the series, but there is a reason when they get tons of real practice on stage to help them in real situations. All the other teams hadn't played in the same situation in a long time especially in comparison.

What I just described and with the terrible P/B Liquid had it was almost destined for them to lose. They played very sloppy in their games against C9 and honestly earned the loss completely.
