G2 vs C9's game (rant)

Honestly this is just me ranting and being bitchy, but as an avid fan of C9, I've never been more mad at them. Their call to switch out Sven with Blaber was honestly a huge mistake. IMHO Sven's playmaking would have been better than Blaber's early game aggression. Also, why did they have Sneaky lock in with Cassiopea on the bottom lane?

And as a side rant, why in the hell is Nisqy so unreliable. I have yet to see him make 100% good plays. Like, Tristana Mid. That wasn't a good call period, even against the Qiyana first pick. Sure you bully in the first 3 levels but after that she's got enough all in potential to fuck you over unless you time rocket jump or flash REALLY well and consistently. I just don't like the dude.

And regardless of the team, Zoe NEEDS that E damage nerfed. Like come on. She'd land it, then with a single Q that took out most of C9's team.

I also think Sneaky ended up getting a bit tilted, as his mechanics started deteriorating as the game progressed. He'd start making more and more poor plays trying to (what i can only assume) stay relevant.

Just a disappointing game really. Would have liked to see more out of C9's decision making skills. :/

Eh. C9 are good. EU as a region is just better and G2 are one of the best teams at the tourney. They would have lost regardless of swap outs, draft, etc.

Blabber subbing got sven wasn't the worst decision, and him and licorice did put in major work early on.

Nisqy on the other hand didn't accomplish much and I felt like they over stayed and gave too much away early on. Every time they got a victory, sneaky and nisqy gave something back in return.

As for the cass lock in, that also had me cringe. I didn't like the choice at all. It sounds good on paper but doesn't look good off paper. She provided an ap threat and added some scaling to their team. But she's too susceptible early on even with the miasma to try to dissuade rakan. With syndra veigar banned, I was hoping for kai'sa who brings mixed damage, fantastic scaling and synergy with naut. Other than vlad, the rest of g2 is still squishy.

It's pretty heart breaking to see such a crazy early game then to have them stagnate towards the mid and late. It's only 1 loss so I hope they pick up in the rest of their groups.

Sneaky on mages is awful to watch, his heimerdinger before was very underwhelming as well. Give nisqy some of the comfort picks he had success on in LCS and playoffs, neither licorice nor nisqy's style fits w/ the Trist mid (/top) cheese that they went for that many teams are going for, if anyone on c9 should play trist its sneaky.

Blaber did well his early game was pretty clean, that said i do think he was a bit lost around midgame which was when G2 snowballed the game, and maybe sven would've had more direction then but we can't really say, I think the coaches were trying blaber to see if they could have success by attempting to match G2s high early aggression.

Overall, it was a failed experiment IMO, and hopefully next time we get to see sven, nisqy on comfort, and sneaky on an adc I think that would make for a more interesting game.

I don’t have a problem with C9 losing to G2. It was likely as G2 is on another level compared to any other team in this tournament. I’m even okay with the way they went down. Fighting and swinging.

I do have a problem with C9 not putting the best roster on the rift in the first place.

I don't think Blaber performed much worse than Sven would have. Him and Licorice were the 2 bright spots on the team that game (they outperformed their counterparts Wunder and Jankos at least). I agree that Sneaky should be on picks like Xayah though, he's not the best on mages, especially the immobile ones like Cass that have no tools to self-peel. That being said, I think this iteration of C9 is just overall worse than that of last year's and I wasn't expecting much when I saw them drawn into this group.

I have no idea what C9’s fascination is with Sneaky. Sneaky hasn’t been good in years. They need to get a new adc. Please in 2020 move on from Sneaky.

Blabber played pretty well early on but putting him in over the NA MVP against G2 of all teams? Silly

But why are you putting sneaky on a mage? I cant recall a single game where it has benefited c9 to put sneaky on a mage. He always performs better on ADCs. Stop letting him play mages please

I do not think this game was blaber's fault, I personally think the players were just not on their comfort picks. Sneaky on Cassiopeia and Nisqy on Tristana looked a bit uncomfortable.

Blabber did really well imo. He got a bit lost mid-late but his early game was really good and he shut down jankos very well. Can't say sven would've done better when we haven't really seen him play against current G2.

On the other hand Nisqy was just all around bad this game, low cs, kept getting hit by bubble and then not jumping away for the follow-up Q, hardly did anything when caps was roaming. The guy had less gold than MikyX, that pretty much says all that's needed to be said. The cass pick was imo bad too. Can't get lane priority in general, you put it on someone that isn't really that familiar with the champion, into someone that plays mages a ton. The only plus point to it was miasma against rakan, but he just got outplayed on the only plus point he had.

Asking to nerf a champion because your team lost is ... not surprising, but not going to happen either.

Sneaky on mages LULW

He fed his ass off like crazy

With Sneaky having 3 kills and 10 deaths I wouldn't be surprised if Deftly plays with his Ezreal only champion pick to be easily scouted and banned. Overall, Cloud 9 won't make it out of Groups this year!

Nisqy is just fine.. what the fuck.
