I feel TL lost because they stopped relying on Fenix

When your mid laner literally carried a whole game, you don't put him on a supportive role. You keep on giving him carry champions. Sure his off-meta picks were banned, but he still had Zed and Ahri to fall back on. They made him go Lulu twice on a protect Piglet strategy when Piglet was falling behind Sneaky. Quas was also doing quite well, and they didn't take advantage of that either. If they want to get third place, they should play off their strengths. Piglet has offered consistent play, which is extremely valuable in the LCS, but he has not proven himself to be the huge carry TL needs in clutch situations.

Tl;DR Fenix should have picked whatever champ he felt he could carry with, since he was on a roll. They had three games to play around to see what could work, instead of running a protect ADC comp for three straight games.

No C9 found his weakness. Small champion pool.

Yeah that's not true. Really, it came down to shot calling. People like to try and analyze these games by how a specific champ would do in the situation, ie if quad had a tank in that fight, they would win. You really can't do that. Picks and ban only take the team so far. What really wins these games are the executions and shot calling. TL deciding not to jump on balls in last team fight in G4 that lost them the game.

We all know piglet is a better adc than c9 but he looks bad. He can't speak English so you have to expect the execution to be off. Each team fight, every execution, every shot called you can tell there is a lag in their team. I mean look at their initial games in first couple weeks till now, you think picks and bans improvement is what got them to beAt CLG

It also helpped C9 that they remembered Dragon existed and all of the things that make them a good team. The first two games just looked like them doing their best random challenger team impression. Not trying to take anything away from Liquid, but those first games didn't look like C9 at all. Once they went back to the shot calling that makes them so good, they looked at lot better.

C9 kind of forced them to throw Fenix onto other picks by banning him out. They knew Liquid would default to the Piglet comps if they did that.
