Waiting on EU to finish.

Many of us North American viewers care very little about European league of legends. We are currently 45 after the supposed start time, and EU is going to be starting picks and bans soon. So it seems my friends and I will have to miss the quarter finals due to EULCS. Good thing we all got together to watch it and made plans for the rest of the evening following LCS. Bravo NA production decisions.

I go to the movie theater to watch a 3.00 PM movie, I expect to watch that specific movie at 3.00 PM not to wait till the rest of the movies at 3.00PM end when they're not even in the same room as I am. Having to wait for EU when NA/EU are 2 different regions makes 0 sense logically, yes, I get both are "LCS" but at the same time some people do only care for NA(hint the franchising for NA and not so much for EU)

IMO they could have at least disclosed they wouldn't start until EULCS was complete from the get go. It's kind of hard when it says 2pm and you're making plans for a get together to watch it. It didn't affect me because I can work around it. But I can surely see why someone planning a get together with friends just for nalcs would be a bit upset. Having things start hours late just doesn't cut it. Nobody should have to block off 3pm eastern to 10 pm eastern just to see a playoff series.

Indeed, I mean what's next having to wait to watch GOT because Europe's t.v show isn't over or something? I work so knowing the specific time of a certain event goes a long way, take a "smoke break/nasty habit" to watch 30 or so mins of NA LCS and having to use up my 2 breaks so EU's 2 hr stream at that point can finish.
Simply put - 2 different regions

A movie never runs over, because it's the same length every time you watch it. That makes it a pretty bad comparison.

Any time you broadcast a live event where there's no set end time things can go over, pushing back or cancelling what was scheduled afterwards. You see this on TV with whatever is set to follow a football game all the time. Riot wants to keep everyone "tuning in to the same channel", so they couldn't start up a new stream for the NA LCS to start on time.

Sure things go over. But a nearly 2 hour delay is unacceptable. Don't post a time that requires EU to end in three to achieve and make the disclosure so people can plan.

Most of the time during T.v(NFL being a prime example) once a game is overlapping another game, that game is moved to another channel while the other starts, it doesn't happen immediately so they give that game another 5-10 mins till it's over but for the most part they start the game that had a start time at that specific time. You would think after 2 and half hrs they would I don't know do another channel like they have been for the past 2 years.
I understand Riot are trying to keep fans watching the product that they are currently frying up on the grill but no everyone wants to watch/eat what they're doing at that moment when they expect something else that was pointed a certain time. Better ?

It looks like we will be waiting an hour and 45. Game 5 is just starting.

I remember once where the match didn't start until like 2.5 hours later. But that was back when most of NA and EU's production material was relatively shared so the broadcast would transition smoothly (basically pre NALCS1/EULCS1 times). Personally, I do not care. Anyone who's been around long enough knows this to be a possibility until it no longer is. As long as I get to see what I'm interested in, idc how they roll it out.

Besides, think of the fans there: they kind of get a bonus show in case the upcoming match up winds up being a 3-0 blowout. Not gonna forget the MSG audience either tbh. That was exciting before the NA match.

How could you watch a Bo5 anyway if you can't wait 45 minutes?

" Many of us North American viewers care very little about European league of legends " He doesn't care about EU, he wants to watch a Bo5 from NA is the gist.

If it goes the distance then we are all stuck watching league for over 7 hours? Most people do not have time for that.

Unfortunately, I had to do some things during game 4 and the link to EULCS had already been changed to the inactive NALCS feed. So I had to pick it up on you tube.

Well, guess they thought games would be over after 20-30 minutes like they are in NA, not expecting that every game took at least 40 minutes...

Lets hope for a 3 game sweep, first game started 2 hours late. GGrito
