I wish the champs and strategies were a bit more diverse. That one game between CLG and FW with Sona-Ezreal-Varus-Karma was cool to watch.

Yes, there trash diversity picks obviously got them to the finals and won.

They play to win, not to put on a show, lol. Clearly the ones who are trying to impress/baffle with niche picks should have had the same mentality.

I wouldn't say they were trash. aphromoo explained his reasoning for picking Sona in the interview after they won. I just personally like to see champion diversity during games, but it's understandable why they don't pick many different ones. Thanks for responding!

If SKT play like they did in the last BO5 against RNG they'll roll over CLG without contest.

SKT beat RNG cleanly in 3 of their 4 games, they were dominant past the first game of that series.

CLG were getting behind every single game VS Flashwolves, you do that VS in-form SKT and they will absolutely annihilate you.

I really can't see CLG winning against SKT, they're in their environment in BO series and they're a far stronger team when they're on form.

I agree, SKT worked out whatever kinks they had. CLG has won so many of there games from behind. Miracles that almost made me fall out of my chair. But SKT will get a lead and stranglehold them.

However the best part about this is CLG isn't the best team in NA imo, IMT is still better. CLG, TSM, Liquid and C9 are all rather even. TSM is better at teamfighting, and IMT is just flat out better, they didn't adapt to the meta is all. However I think IMT was liable to end up like G9 at MSI, not sure.

At the end of the day I'm fed up with TSM, these guys have the prestige of attending every single World Championship yet they are lucky to get out of groups. C9 and FNC are far more impressive at the world stage. (FNC attending the 2nd most Worlds). Lets see how CLG does.

I am not so sure about this though. CLG has demonstrated a proficiency in the splitpush game, and SKT specializes in kiting back out of hard engage (if i am understanding several caster conversations correctly).

Simple logic would tell us that these specialties play into the favor of CLG, but who is to say it will be that simple.

I agree with LankPants for the most part. But one of CLG's strength is not getting tilted, turtling till late game, find an opening and take back the map. They did it so many times during MSI.

SKT WILL win if they are on form and don't give CLG an inch. But if they let CLG stall the game out, CLG has a very very good chance at making a comeback.

I don't know how you came to that conclusion. CLG were the clear favorites going in, the casters and even SKT players were favouring CLG. They performed better in the group stage both overall and head to head vs FW.

Now it's SKTs game to lose in the finals. After the way they played vs RNG they look like they are back to top form. But NA has been a nice suprise this tournament so I can only hope they continue to exceed expectations.

sure clg did really well, they won against rng (first team to do that) and they were able to win against skt in their tilt streak, but i thought flash wolves would go to finals, they were doing really great as well. maple was better than huhi in both azir and ryze, but i guess ekko's always there to carry clg

I just ment specifically in the semi finals, SKT is the clear favorite in the finals of course. I can understand you thinking FW would win but I was just perplexed that you thought they would do so "easy".

You know I've always said I'll throw a party if an NA team wins worlds. Well I'll do the same if they win MSI. It is a bit of a mini worlds albeit it doesn't reflect what happens at the end of the season I do think it marks a new era of NA.

Will get a CLG tattoo if they win.

3 out of 4 games CLG had Ekko. If you want credit don't try getting through broken picks.

CLG might win the finals to keep the hype of a dying game going but in the end of the day LoL is heading to the grave both as an e-sport and a game because to keep things "fresh" riot forces dumb meta changes.

I hope they both loose. Crappiest event ever!

Do people really care about that entire pride thing anyway? I've never understood that in a game where you have Koreans on pretty much every roster. I could understand it maybe a couple years ago when C9 was an actual NA team, but all the teams these days have multiple imports.

In all honesty, it's the same thing with Hockey. A Canadian team hasn't won in awhile, but American teams have so many Canadians on their rosters, but does anyone really care about that? No, because the team represents the American city it's from. NA teams pushed each other and punished each other for mistakes that CLG made, making them a better team all together. So while Koreans are on every roster, as a representative of NA, CLG has shown they've been pushed by other NA teams to be able to adapt to competition quickly and defeat melee supports with ranged supports, effectively setting a meta trend during the latter half of MSI.

its going to be a interesting match up but none the less SKT has the advantage over CLG as a team. Clg has a shot though we will see what happens. But most likely clg won't take more then 1 game off skt.

Maybe it has to do with NA trashtalking us while whining about us trashtalking them (*cough worlds 2015 *cough). What we sent wasn't a team, it was a disgrace for esports in general

Clg left their mark for NA as a region and to all the eu fans trashtalking us cause of us trashtalking them, I'm sorry for the conceited and satly NA fans from back then. we were stupid and salty af at our teams not making it out. But does that REALLY give you an excuse to talk crap about CLG when they lost the same way one of your EU teams lost last year at the aforementioned worlds 2015? you hated when we did that right? so why lower yourself to the level of those salty NA fans who were trashtalking you?
