How do they communicate with their Korean players? Echo Fox has Looper, DIG actually has 3 Koreans, one local but 2 straight from Korea, NV Lira is straight from Korea, and P1 Arrow is also straight from Korea. How do they communicate? Especially DIG because they are 3 Korean but 2 American, or does Keane just translate for then because I imagine his English is pretty decent.
III BAKURYU III 2 votesArrow actually learned some English from school in his foreign language class, Keane most likely has been helping Ssumday, while Seraph has been doing the same with his foreign teammates on NV.
If only I could take the time to learn a foreign language, take the time to get to Challenger and if only I had the money to move to Korea, I could win a World Championship.
However, waste of time cause 2 out of the 3 sure as hell ain't happening
TittiesRUs1 votesKorean is not that hard to learn. There is a static alphabet of 24 letters that don't change, and the grammer is quite simple. Not like chinese where there are around 15,000 different characters.

Agravain1 votesThere isn't much to communicate in the first place. Everybody, regardless of where they're from, SHOULD understand what "Back out" or "Go in" means if you're aware a language called English exists. Perhaps outside of playing League, they may use a translator or so, but in game, they make do of what they can say and understand.
few examples are: ward, top/mid/bot/jungle, gank (yes, gank is called gank in Korean, altho it's written as gang), group, fight, etc
Earl Eulrich1 votesreminds me on an old interview with someone subbing in for M5...he said the ybasically had two commands: group and scatter.
so i guess you can really simplyfy the game down to that and still be successfull if everyone is generally on the same page. Also Dig e.g. really puts some time and effort into teaching their Koreans the English language, and i guess it would be the same in most other teams. Doesn´t feel good to live and work in a country where you don´t speak the main language in the long run.
TittiesRUs1 votesStar Horn Royal Club was like that in s4. Insec was their shot caller and they just used very broken english. Insec mainly just said "Go" and everyone would just dog pile onto them. Cola, Corn, and Uzi are Chinese, but Insec and Zero are Korean, and since it was way too difficult for 2 of them to learn Chinese, or for the other 3 to learn Korean, they basically just did that. Pretty sure they did that when they were Royal Never Give Up too, because they had Looper and Mata who were Korean but the other 3 were Chinese.
AcidTheWarlock1 votesI know Ssumday and Chaser know English pretty well and Keane is teaching them, it's probably one of the major reasons why their communication is so bad, because they only speak English in scrims and games.
