Who do you think will beat eachother in the 1 on 1 matchup?

I currently have IG placed 1st seed and im debating whether fnatic or ahq will be second. Im rewatching the fnatic/ahq games from msi but rekkles is a big upgrade from steelback so im not sure.

Thoughts?

Fnatic seems more likely to me, but could go either way.

And of course it doesn't matter because C9 is going to come out of nowhere and go 6-0 in the groups. ;)

Fnatic is going to absolutely wreck

Yellowstar is the #1 player in the world right now

there are no 1v1 matchups in professional 5v5, it´s all about rotations. In this case it´s about denying Westdoor his ability to roam around, and fnatic is definitly a team that can do that. It´ll be close, but my money is on fnatic (and for the record, i expect IG to be #2 in this group, though all of the 3 teams are absolutly able to win the group). Also, you really underrate Steelback, his teamfighting is absolutly brilliant and his laning isn´t even that bad - give him 1more year and he´ll be in the top 5 of western ADCs.

FNC could take first place from IG... They would just have to play very smart like they did all summer split...

Honestly, I feel like FNC could take first seed....I mean tilting and upsets have to happen, right? It can't just be the strongest teams on paper/reviewing previous plays. Look at Worlds last year, and IEM Katowice back in March (The Flash Wolves, Team WE, GE Tigers).

I feel like Fnatic is underrated by most casters and analysts for some reason, even after the impressive performance they put up at MSI...And they've gotten better since then.

I do realize that the 18-0 record may not be that impressive considering EU is a weaker region than Korea and China (The analysts and casters say that Fnatic's weaknesses are in the early game, which is something that some teams in EU did exploit, but they just couldn't close games fast enough and misplayed mid/late-game so Fnatic came back and won the game.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is I'm not saying Fnatic is the best team at Worlds, but I don't feel like they're weak either - I feel like they can stand toe-to-toe with some of the Eastern teams, and I think they have a good chance at making Quarterfinals.
