I have a question about the differences in how the matches are played in tournaments

my question boils down to this: why does Korea do 2 out of 3 games and EU and NA do one and done rounds?

It took me a while to notice that Korea seems to do tournaments standings based off teams winning 2 of 3 rounds. At the same time NA and EU seem to only play one round per matches to get our standings. is this a case of ADD where NA and EU have a smaller attention spans til at least the final regional matches and are more likely to close the stream early?

im not suggesting the current standings would change was only curious why Korea does the tournament a bit differently

To answer the question directly, this is pretty much how respective leagues are structured. There once existed a period where NA and EU formats tried the Best of 3 format that LCK, LPL, and LMS all developed over time (all having once been Bo2 at some point).

Saying that it's an attention span issue is a bit of a cold way of believing it. It was presumably from preference among players and teams along with the production that led to the revert back to Bo1. While it may not feed the best hopes of the region on an international perception, I feel that regular season shouldn't harbor too much opinion.
