Pretty much every year, the first week, the board talks about how TSM will do great. How this is Doublelifts time to shine.

Then week two hits and it's the battle hardend team that actually does the best. The team that had to go through the Gauntlet, play in, and playing knockout, in one of the worst groups in worlds

I hope C9 gets out.

C9 should get the 2nd spot in the group. Then with some luck they can draw Team WE because I am not sure I like their chances vs RNG and LZ

C9 is the only NA team that has shown consistency this worlds, and I like their chances in a Bo5 format, similarly I think TSM would have also done well once out of groups

Yeah, i feel like C9 can beat WE in a BO5 series. I dont think the Cait would work with C9. Sneaky is a very good Xayah and he will match her. I also think Contractz will do much better than what Sven was doing. The top lane is still questionable for me. Impact tends to do very nicely in worlds; dude enters supersaiyan form for some reason

With that said, i feel like C9 needs to draw RNG or WE. IF they get get out of groups. That's still a huge ?? for me. I do have hope they delivery like they do..

Viewership = Wins in the NALCS. As TSM is learning (they should have learned it already), that understanding means nothing on the Worlds Stage. They’ll never be successful in a competetive international tournament until they respect the split of their region. Reginald and Riot do not... so here we are.

TSM is goo din their region. They have the regional players in NA figured out because they have scrimed for years

Internationally, they are playing much better players where that dumb strategy that works on many NA team wont work.

I think NA and EU should scrim eachother. Both parties would greatly benefit from this. LPL and LMS also scrim with eachother.

Perhaps they also need better analysts to figure out other regions and the meta. I think that's a great part of Misfits' success. They always adapt very well to the team they're facing. They usually come up ahead from draft. If they'd now get some LCK level of mechanics, then there are high hopes.

I never believed in TSM. I don't believe in any fratboy teams in the first place in this LCS. You have the bonding groups that hold together and then you have this money trash that's bought into the teams.

All these teams that break up the moment they lose at a tournament don't deserve a tournament victory in my opinion. They lack the heart and teamwork to get it going.

Nobody thought NA was going to win worlds except for the TSM fans who can't remember past years. Nobody counts morons though.
Assuming SKT goes 3-0 again, C9 only has to beat AHQ to get out of groups. I'll take a team getting out of groups as close enough for NA.
You don't have to beat SKT to win worlds. As unlikely as it is, SKT could lose before the finals and C9 could be put on the other side of the bracket.

Too many TSM Fanboys who can't see the true team that holds NA together. Sure they don't always get first at home, but when the pressure at Worlds hits they have their stuff in order and come to play. I'm not an Anti-TSM, nor am I a Pro-TSM. But I'm tired of seeing everyone think the team is the standard for NA. C9 will make it out of groups and will face the next hardest team in Worlds.

No team DESERVES a tournament victory. It's something you need to earn...thus the definition of sport.

I feel that of the NA teams C9 has the best chance because they've proven to be one of the more flexible NA teams. I feel the Longzhu has been playing their behinds off, as did RNG.

There are several tier 2 teams that have shown they CAN play but are too inconsistent.
-- EDG - Playing well today, terrible last week. -- Fanatic - Played well week 2, terrible week 1. -- Team WE - Played well through group stage, but terrible in play ins. -- Samsung - Too easily abusable apparently. They will likely take quarter finals match but if they face either of the Korean teams in Quarters they're done.

I think if C9 does get out of groups (Debatable at this point) they're done in Quarters.

Yes, like how Season 1 and Season 7 are the exact same thing. How watching ever evolving plays and players challenge the meta and introduce new playstyles implemented and will stay for years to come. SKT shows how to give variety and strategy, so of course it will be similar when the top team shows so much variance. Its not like football where the same player goes to the same position and does his normal showboating, because each champion and role is unique and forces it to change, so it might be the same position and same player, but it will never be the same exact performance style they did before. J4 is not the same as Gnar, or watching wild wombo-combos, or lane strategy. You can learn a thing or two from the best by watching. Saying its the same with new champs every month or so is just foolish and narrowminded

Do you never read a book that you've already finished before? I don't care if I can assume who's taking Worlds, I enjoy watching cause its the highest level of competitive play. Much like when I watch Brazil in the World Cup. I can assume Brazil will beat anyone, but its the highest level of Soccer in the world. I want to see what new strats are brought to the Worlds stage, I want to see outplays, I want to see why SKT/LZ earn the title. The hype is not WHO gets the title, its HOW they get it.

Sure NA is the original region, but they don't deserve to take up so many slots at worlds when they play this horribly.

There was 1 slot for NA and 1 for EU as i remember, the rest of the slots they won in play ins. So if they are better than other wild cards by your logic world championship should basically consist only from Korea and some wild cards.

they made it and got WE so i guess they have their chances ! but uh at what ive seen so far they actually arnt in top 8 of the best teams in this tournament ... GAM , G2 , EDG , maybe TSM ... even FW would be a match for C9 , and they arnt out , i dont mean that C9 doesnt deserve or suck but still . WE is the easiest quarter finals they could possibly get so if they lose idk what to think NA still never made it to semis at worlds yet it could be the chance this year even tho they overall choked . As a MSF fan tho im a bit fked up since they ll face SKT in quarters :/ if C9 or FNC make it to semis ill support them tho . and if MSF surprised us against SKT i'd be happy .
