Why did GAM get a bye in the tiebreaker?

So 3 teams were 2-4 (FNC, GAM, IMT), and Longzhu was 6-0. The first game was FNC vs IMT, whoever wins that, faces GAM for the chance to go to quarterfinals...

Why did GAM get a bye if they also had a 2-4 record...? Were they using kill differences or something? It would have been nice if it was explained by the casters.

Shorter game lengths if i remember correctly, as from what I saw in the articles I read it there were a lot of time-based numbers trying to explain everything.
