Who are we?

We are Astral Empire, a gaming organization dedication to eSports and League of Legends. We try to keep a fun and friendly atmosphere while also maintaining the highest degree of professionalism possible. You can learn more about our organization by visiting our website: http://astralempire.net

What is the ACL?

The Astral Champion's League is a 16-team tournament hosted by Astral Empire. It currently features the Riot Prize package (the one with 3200 RP + Ryze skin) but we're looking into providing cash prizes with future installments.

How is the tournament formatted?

This one was tricky but we finally found a solid format for a 16-team tourney like this. You can view the bracket here: http://i.imgur.com/GBIRgOp.png

Groups will be Bo1, QFinals will be Bo3, and SFinals+ will be Bo5 matches. Each match will be moderated by a Tournament Administrator to prevent any foul play or major mistakes.

Are games going to be streamed?

We hope so! At the moment we have two shoutcasters but we definitely need a few more due to the number of games being played. If you're interested in becoming a shoutcaster be sure to keep reading!

What is the schedule?

As it stands the tournament starts December 5, 2014 at 7:00pm CST. Group stages will be played this day and are expected to last until 11:00pm CST. From there Quarterfinals will be held December 6 starting at 4:00pm CST and the tournament will continue on December 7 from 2:00pm CST. There can be a maximum of 40 games if you include the 3rd place match. This is all subject to some small amount of change so be sure to check our FAQ often.

I like what you're doing but don't want to play

No problem! There's plenty of ways you can help us out actually. For one we're looking for different staffing positions which include Shoutcasters, Admins, and Media Specialists. These positions are all unpaid unfortunately as our budget is rather low, but things such as Tournament Administration volunteer work can be great resume builders. If you're interested in becoming part of our staff you can apply here: LINK

Alternatively you can throw us a like or a follow via Facebook or Twitter, both of which are listed below. Each like/follow we get puts us further and further towards our goal of picking up some sponsorships so they help a lot more than you think!

Closing

Thanks a lot for all your time, we're looking forward to hosting a successful tournament. Personally I have to admit I'm a bit nervous as this is the first tourney we've ever hosted but everything has gone fantastic so far. We have some very talented individuals helping us with setup and other things, drop by our staff page on the website and give some of them a peek. They're pretty awesome people! I really thank everyone for any support we get because it all means a ton to us!

See you on The Rift summoners.
