It's not officially done and no comments yet from C9 or EG, but assuming nothing changes, my thoughts.

First, it's a good move for EG. Coming in on the heels of Echo Fox crashing and burning, they locked up two solid players to succeed with. Sven is aging, but should still have an edge in NA at least.

Second thoughts, this is even better for C9. Blaber is a younger player who has some time to grow and improve. C9 needs to get younger players hungry for success. Maybe they can also find a support who can bring out better play from Sneaky. Or maybe one who works better with Deftly. (Sneaky seems to lack competitive drive.)

Final thoughts, maybe this has been a discussion ongoing for a while. Perhaps Sven was unhappy, and this is why C9 didn't play him as much at World's. Perhaps they wanted Blaber to get some seasoning while knowing Sven was on his way out.

at the end of the day, NA is just a region of recycled celebrities that are traded around to raise money for orgs. None of this really matters. This is just a wildcard region with an unplayable soloq

Sven - Great move for EG, he's honestly played some of the best LoL of his career over the last year. C9 loses for sure in the short term, but if Blaber comes into his own then this can still be a great move for C9.

Zeyzal - A solid move from EG here, gives them a solid support with still more space to grow. This one may hurt C9 more than the Sven move because a replacement is less than guaranteed.

In the end, EG will still need to build a roster around these first two acquisitions that can succeed before this is a complete win. C9 has some work ahead of them to fill the shoes of two strong players, but they have a track record of being able to do exactly that. Either way, going to be very interesting to see how these two teams shake out over the next year.

Blaber may be better in the early game and all but overall I honestly think he's a C- player at best.
We've been at this fast paced style of League for the last 2-3 years and that's been the span of Blaber's career.....if league EVER(won't) returns to a slower paced game I don't see Blaber being nearly as good as people think of him now.

Sneaky and Licorice will both NEED to step up and actually become carries for Cloud 9 if they want to be contenders. Zeyzal is 50/50 considering we've seen enough out of Sneaky to know what X support can and can't get out of him. I will say Diamond their backup support kinda sucks.

Svenskeren on the other hand is a huge blow to C9 as he's been with the team for 2 years and experience and chemistry goes a long way for teams in general.
Svenskeren is only 23 and has loads of experience for EG but also, he's also now an NA resident! Evil G's roster could be lethal with 2 potential import slots. The interesting thing about Cloud 9's jungle situation is if Reignover returns or not.

Cloud 9 already took a hit with Jensen but now Sven and Zeyzal..........

Talks is EG will be a Cloud 9 2.0 with Kumo(Top), Svenskeren(Jungle), Deftly(ADC) and Zeyzal(Support) but Froggen returning to his ole' org.

I heard about murmurs of dissent in the C9 camp around Sven. Seeing him transition is something I can understand even with the lacking performance at Worlds. In no means was that all his fault though.

This could also indirectly mean Apollo and Hakuho are could also potentially split up if not picked up by another team or Zeyzal to academy. Just speculation there.

The off season game is still too early to make major judgments. But it's off to a good talking spot.

And C9 still kept sneaky... -.-

I hope their fans understand this team is only about making money and not about winning. The 5 left that hadn't gotten the memo yet
