Challenger Series is a joke...

If a team can simply literally skip a round by DDoSing the enemy team. Oh, but it's not the people suspected of DDoSing, but the recipient of the DDoS that gets disqualified. Unbelievable.

To clarify, I'm referring to the Challenger Series: AKA VS Zenith, where a member of AKA got DDoSed from the match. Coincidentally, this happened when AKA achieved a sizable(3K~)gold lead.

So, because of Riot's really poor tournament infrastructure, instead of rescheduling the match and letting both teams off with a warning, they'd rather ultimately reward the team that DDoSed by disqualifying the other. I honestly don't get it.

EDIT: Post from the Manager of AKA on page 13, http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com...4#post48160964.

Hi I'm the coach/manager of AKA here is a few things I'd like to share.

Teams are given a 10 minute time pause (which is shorter than pause times for even the most basic challenger tournaments). We asked for a 2 minute extensions because our support was running with his laptop to a friends house. They denied it. 5 minutes after the pause they were already setting up a new lobby and when my support over heard this on the phone he started crying. To say the least this was a very stressful and heart breaking feeling.

We checked in 6 hours before our match and not once did we experience any internet loss. A few minutes after we were dqed and even before it was announced on the stream the internet was back. (Pretty suspicious his internet comes back when the game is over but before announced on stream.)

5 minutes delay is on tournament realm unlike the 3 minutes on the main servers. During that 5 minutes we took 2 towers, 80 cs on kogmaw 40 on jax another kill and a dragon. This gave us about a 6.2k gold lead at 12:32 in to the match.

We lost out on 1,250 dollars we earned and our nacs spot that is the only way to fight for lcs.

This hurts the competitiveness of the tournament but there isn't anything we can do about it now, or so I believe.

Sorry, I work for an ISP as a netadmin/engineer. There is nothing we can do to stop you from being DDOSd. It's just not physcially possible. And in truth this is 100% the player's fault, not either orginization.. it's the player's fault.. If you are serious about a game and know you will get DDOS'd than run off a VM. You can't get DDOS'd if you run off a VM, again, NOT POSSIBLE. The player just didn't take the proper precautions.

Wow wtf, ddosing is such a broken and dumb thing, internet service providers are supposed to be responsible for stopping things like this, and internet routers should be made to prevent things like this. Plus how is it so easy for hackers to find the ip addresses of targets like that, league should keep those things hidden.
