YOUR ALL-STAR 2017 CASTERS ARE RIDICULOUS

I have been put off from watching the All-Star 2017, and I stopped watching half way through SEA vs CN because of CaptainFlowers and Deficio giving me a headache. When you have casters that won't stfu for once during a 45 fucking minute game then there is a serious problem. It's absolutely ridiculous. Listening to 2 cringy casters that make stupid jokes, sarcasm and laugh and talk to each other like they are in school, it puts you off big time.

IF YOU WANT CASTERS IN YOUR ESPORTS, MAKE THEM TALK AND ACT LIKE CASTERS IN TRADITIONAL SPORTS. THERE IS A REASON WHY PEOPLE LOVE WATCHING MLS, NFL AND NBA BECAUSE OF THE CASTERS. 100% PROFESSIONAL COMMENTARY WITHOUT ALL THE ADDED BULLSHIT OF STUPID JOKES, SARCASM AND THE SCHOOL TALK. AND MOST OF ALL, THEY DON'T SPEAK CONSTANTLY FOR 45 FUCKING MINUTES, THEY HAVE SMALL PAUSES FOR THEMSELVES DURING THE MATCH AND ALSO TO RELIEVE THE STRESS AND GIVE THE VIEWERS EARS A BREAK.

You sound like you don't watch a lot of competitive matches. Sometimes jokes were good to have in order to live up the hype, instead of having to constantly re-read the champion's tooltips through the mike.

  1. The caps were unnecessary. And I think you are just overreacting.

  2. If you're trying to compare casting from sports to esports and expect every single factor to be an eventual permutation which it can never be, then you are going to be forever disappointed with the degree of casting or commentating that is provided.

  3. It doesn't matter what video game; the jokes, sarcasm, roasts, awkward moments, bias, overreactions, Freudian slips: they ALL happen at some point.

  4. Unlike most sports commentary, esports does it in part supported by their audience whether it be live or via media. That's just the culture. If you wanted Golf.tv, do you think the audience would be interested in that?

  5. You could Go watch any CS:GO major, Rocket League, Dota, OW, CPT event or even a FGC weekly (and the last one is just sometimes bedlam). There are more but you will see for yourself that this IS thst culture. Edit: E-League

  6. It's All Stars...it may be serious to competitive format but that does not mean it needs to be Worlds serious.
