How far will TSM go at MSI/ MSI power rankings

This MSI is going to be extremely competitive. aside from the fact that SKT is going to win. Now the next question is who is going to be second place?

Obviously I would like TSM to represent NA well, but there are several things that would have to come together for it to work (this is assuming they will make it out of play-ins, which isn't a whole lot to ask).

First: Their solo lanes MUST keep the level of dominance they had in the regular split and playoffs.

Second: Sven MUST play much safer than he has in the past. No more solo invades that end in him dying.

Third: Turtle and Biofrost MUST not get destroyed in lane. If they can go even or at least keep their tower, they should be in a decent spot for the rest of the game.

If these three criteria are met, I think TSM will get 3/4.

Power Rankings:

1: SKT (duh)

2: Flash Wolves (Seriously the beat three European teams at IEM. These guys are legit)

3: Eh. TSM

4: G2

5: WE (Can't believe RNG lost)

6: Whatever other team gets in (Super Massive or Gigabyte Marines).

TSM can beat G2. Haunter and Bjerg are better than Expect and Perkz.

GAM looks strong, but I have a strong feeling TSM will win.

I want TSM to go against SKT so badly. They can do it. Only thing I wish is that we had Doublelift instead of Turtle, but they'll do fine.

I think TSM will get 3rd or 4th. It depends how G2 plays.

TSM ain't making it through this year. SUP, GAM and FW make it through.

Well so far GBM are 2-0 against them.

1 : The solo lanes did not keep the level of dominance they had in the regular split and playoffs. Bjergsen and Huntzer have not been dominating. 2 : Sven is still playing too aggressive, getting punished, and the level of pressure he bring to the game compared to Levi so far is low. 3 : Turtle and Biofrost got destroyed in lane in game 1. Huge disrespect from Turtle for the Ziggs W and burst. He got punished a lot so far for bad position (lots of miss on the ultimate too).

Does not look too good so far for the #1 NA team.

I feel that tsm isn't as good as g2.

look at that narrow win vs. Gam

Slightly disagree with this tier list only because of the fact that you're ignoring one giant factor, namely that with C9 losing to TSM and china/eu being in a "dry spell", there is no "other superteam" at this thing barring SKT. Because of this, I'm under two pretty fun assumptions: that there's potential for two wild-card teams to make it in (both wildcard teams are looking pretty dominant, if only because they faced slightly lesser competition) and that it's nigh-impossible to predict who will actually finish 2 through 6. With these two reasons, I'm kinda not looking forward to this event as not only will there be a weak team in the finals of it, but said weak team (TSM being a likely candidate) could get massively overhyped only to fail massively at worlds come october.

My one issue with all the power rankings people are making is that I feel like everyone is forgetting about WE. They 3-0ed their opponents in the finals and while their style is slow, its so dang good if it gets rolling. I feel like the styles of G2 and TSM are a little suspicious when put on an international level. I could be entirely wrong but I definitely put WE over G2 since they just feel like a better version of the style G2 has been trying to do. I just in general don't think G2s playstyle will hold up internationally since outside of Roccat,FNC, and Unicorns in SOME games (cause yes in some games they go agro but they were much more passive this year, obeying the meta to an extent) there weren't any aggressive teams to punish them. Now they have a couple aggressive teams (FW, GAM if they make it through) that are all world class which makes it super tough. and then the other teams are just better versions of G2. G2 just doesn't feel like a team that can go aggressive now since whenever they try to it is all reliant on pure mechanical outplays (as shown in the UOL series). My personal rankings are below and entirely biased so nobody take them seriously.

  1. SKT
  2. FW 3.WE 4.TSM 5.GAM (cause why the heck not) 6.G2 (gotta believe in the meme)
