I was wondering why is lux not played in competitive play? She is a pretty good mid laner if your good with skill shots and has pretty good burst damage. Even if she wasn't used as a mid, being a support isn't bad either.
Not to mention with this recent change to your Q doing full DMG to both targets; I wonder if anyone will pick her up??!!
She might get some play at Worlds. Realize that the pro patches tend to be behind, and playoffs all stay on the same patch, so we are just now catching up in patches to the Lux buffs. She was played a small amount recently in either Korea or China, but not enough to be considered meta.
Lux also has a generally predictable kit, with nothing really that can surprise you with its usage. Her Q is slow, her E is AoE, and her R has a channel. Pros can dodge these things pretty well, so she ends up being basically a zone control mage with less power than Orianna or Azir, other zone control mages.
