C9 lost to TSM

Main reason why is they didnt change anything after they lost 2 games in a row. they picked kindred jungle 3 or 4 times and rush only found success on 1 of those games. graves was open the last game, gragas, and a few other champs couldve been much better mid game assets for teamfights and the mobility that graves or gragas have wouldve helped rush not get caught out 4 times every game. They picked too many scaling champs into the earlier power spike pressures that TSM chose like graves, maokai ect.

Honestly it was a repeat of worlds, they practiced only one comp/strat, said comp/strat got figured out, it got picked apart, and they lose.

We can scrutinize the pick/ban phase (which they did lose in) but frankly they just played bad. Balls played well but was in and out at the wrong time over and over, Jensen did not show up at all, Hai's mechanical short comings as a support were very noticeable, and then Rush was playing like he had a lead even though he only ever had one in Game 1. Sneaky played find for the most part.

Honestly I think the whole team went on tilt and never recovered. I still believe though, C9 at worlds 2016! My second favorite team is TL, so was glad to see them sweep NRG. Think they will be the team that really shocks everyone in this tournament.

The thing is if they wanted to run a global strat Rush should have at least learned how to play Nocturne and they could have thrown balls on Shen and then had Jensen run TP Diana because she does well with it and they dont just get banned out with the removal of TF and he gets higher kill pressure in lane. But nah fuck that. Whatever, they deserve to lose for being stupid about this. Still a fan but wont pretend like they didn't deserve the ass wooping they got.

The whole series was suspect. I don't know how you stomp a team in the very first game and then get destroyed even worse 3 straight. Drafting wasn't the only thing terrible, they didn't play well during the games as well.

And tbh change in meta or no, they didn't really show any kind of resemblance to the way they were playing earlier in the split. Jensen suddenly can't play anything other than TF, Rush is only playing Kindred, Hai suddenly playing Braum. I mean you can say they were practicing new picks, But they had the chance for comfort picks and passed on them.

Also not once did they even draft Sivir who is the queen of bot lane currently competitively. And not putting Balls on Maokai after Riot put him back in the meta, when that was one of his most successful champions just doesn't seem right.

They screwed up the bans more or less. They could have left Gragas open, forcing TSM to either: Commit 100% of their bans to the jungle or Stop banning out rush completely

But instead THEY banned Gragas every game. Thus effectively adding a ban to TSM's bans. Every game.

Granted they should have been able to play through that, but TSM won off of those jungle ban-outs. I don't think it's going to be enough for TSM to take it all though.

What are they supposed to ban out for Immortals? Janna/Soraka/Karma? (Probably a good idea, but that gives Immortals free reign [hehe] over every lane and jungle)

another great thing is TSM did a trick pick They made C9 think that it would be Gragas Jg but in fact it was Graves jg with a Gragas Top (the 1 time svenskern didn't dive into a 5 man battle without his team)
