Booing SSG

I was really surprised to hear booing for SSG in their match against C9, however I think everyone is making it a bigger deal than it was. Esports is in a weird place right now between a niche group and mainstream sports. If any of you have ever been to a sports game in the United States, whether it be the NFL, NBA, MLB, and so on, is that the cultural norm is to cheer your home team and to boo the opposite team to influence them in some way. Given the fact that the crowd actually cheered on the players as they were read out individually, especially CoreJJ who played in NA previously, I don't think the crowd was trying to be malicious in any way; They just reacted how they would if it was a home team vs an away team in a mainstream sport.

If anything, It tells more about how much league has grown than the true feelings of the crowd.

It was incredibly classless for fans to boo SSG. This isn't a domestic competition. It's an international event. Good on those that cheered for SSG or decided not to boo/jeer (if they didn't want to cheer). There was even that crappy fan with a SSG blows sign. Obviously, SSG is tenfold better than C9 any day and that fan doesn't understand that.

Lol, classless. Ok. You guys are taking this too serious. You want mainstream sports to recognize Esports, and then cry when mainstream sports culture crosses over.

Its sad really, how butt-hurt some of you are getting over some fans booing. I dont even think the players are upset as some of you are. Different cultures. Our culture boos. Some Riot. Some don't even watch foriegn games like China. Remember seeing the audience when there wasn't any chinese team playing? Completely empty. Such respect. Pretty sure Europe boo'd, too.

You guys gotta just get off your high horse, and I dunno, maybe go to a real sports game sometime and stop living such sheltered lives behind your screen.
