Mid Season Invitational Thoughts

I don't know if many others agree, but MSI feels like it does nothing but distract the Spring winners from taking a break before Summer split. There's not as much for fans to be invested in and there is more resources put into random skin events than for MSI.

So how to fix? I have a couple ideas that would help give MSI a little more importance.

First, a Pick 'Em. Now that one year has gone by, the skin released for MSI could be a Pick 'Em prize for a perfect bracket. (Or maybe other RP equivalent prizes)

Second, uniformly have leagues alter their schedules a bit so players get at least 21 days between Spring Finals and MSI, and between MSI Finals and Summer Split start. It's harsh to the most successful teams to have the least time to get some relaxing.

Finally, an in-game reward for the winning squad, Team Chromas. It wouldn't be a full-fledged skin like World's winners, but still a permanent in-game chance for fans to show off the winning teams colors on specific champs.

Anyone else have ideas or feedback?

Hmm, I gotta say I like these ideas. That said my concern with the second idea is with the fact some regions play bo3's regularly and don't have all teams competing on the same day, and since I believe the Worlds dates are already announced in advance of the Summer Split (correct me if I'm wrong there) it would bring up some scheduling issues there as well if I'm not mistaken.

First, a Pick 'Em.

That's not going to happen! I've been asking for a pick'em not just for MSI but in general for around 4 years now. Also, we are talking about Rito in a sense that they gave up on fantasy LCS, stats on the homepage and for fans to input their opinions in Riot's articles. So I doubt they'll create a pick'em.

Like Prandine said, " some regions play bo3's regularly and don't have all teams competing on the same day" it's difficult to include other regions because the other regions do their own thing and not sure about this but I think Rito doesn't "own" every region(North America) something like that.

If we are talking about NA and NA only then yes, I agree. I personally do think teams competing at tournament should be given time to rest etc but I'm a bit annoyed that the NA LCS isn't a Best-of-3 so it's a bit contradiction on my part.
Also, players scrim, play LCS etc but then they run back to their computers and stream and play solo Q even on their free-time. Let's also not act like playing league these days where games are really just 20 min games is this huge time consuming drain.

If we are talking about NA only
20 day break only if series are Best-of-3's.
