Why Riot/League are so cheap with their prizes.

LOL reported around a billion dollars in revenue last year. Still, LCS prices are super low. The world champion team only earns $1,000,000. The prize pool is around #2.3 millions. For a billionaire company offer this in prize has to be extremely cheap. I love the game and I play a lot when I have time, but let's face it. League only created LCS as a way to make its game popular and to make people to try to have a career as a gamer. So it uses the LCS as a marketing way. The truth is that there is a hidden cancer in the world. The convergence between a young generation that only cares about gaming and having fun and an old one composed of all men that worked hard, invested money and are now stakeholders. They are simply taking advantage of the new generation that are comfortable been really good at something(LOL), making a couple of hundred thousands a year, and calling themselves "athletes". Of course, a 19 years old super star doesn't know how to negotiate his own salary. A normal athlete like a baseball or basketball one makes millions per season. Then, why can't e-athletes have the same benefits? Do you have any idea of how much money they make in ads in each of their matches? Enough to pay a lot of salaries at Riot. Don't get me wrong. I love the game, but I think there are people that are really dedicated like every single one in those teams and still are treated like kids while Riot/League fill their deep pockets with the real prize. Riot/League STOP BEING SO CHEAP. And give teams a real challenge to fight for. We all know that is not enough and the day a company comes up with a better price, say bye bye to your supremacy.
