LCS New Years Wishlist
I'd like this post to be an ongoing list of all the things, little or big, that we'd like to see Riot's E-Sports team do for the E-Sports scene in general and LCS in specific. I'd prefer if people avoided things the E-Sports team has no say in, like champ diversity and balance, because those suggestions aren't really going to be actionable by the people we're directing this to. :)
I'll start with a few of my own ideas:
-
Regular Exhibition matches Alongside the regular LCS I'd love it if Riot did more of the 'for fun' style matches. Things like having pro teams play featured game modes, or having games where the fans decide the team's champ picks, building 'dream teams' for random matches or possibly even have the other team pick for each other. Matches with no real bearing on the LCS proper that are just for fun. They're amazing to watch, and the casters seem to have a blast taking a break from the super-serious analysis and just letting it all out.
-
Longer Analyst Desk segments available on the website for each game. The analyst desk segment is good for what it is - providing a breakdown and some explanation to pass time between games - but I'd love to see a far more indepth analysis of the games posted a day or two later where they look back at everything and go over key moments in greater detail, showing each team's vision and other things like that to give a greater understanding for what is happening at certain points.
