So what happened to this Worlds Event?

I'm going mainly on perception here, so bear with me please:

Is it just me or this Worlds felt terribly cheap compared to Season 4? Last year we got Imagine Dragons performing live along with a mesmerizing Korean opening event full of lights and sounds, the stadium was glorious to look at even though we watched it on our screens, thousands of people to be jealous at for being there enjoying it, The event started late in the night and yet we felt worth for staying all night watching the bloodbath, it felt so worth to burn a nice sleep for it.

This year, we get a video show? Not even just us at our pcs, attendants had only that for themselves too! Forward to a relatively alright match between SKT and KOO, no surprises there, like watching someone throw a rock at a window, you know what's going to happen, you just stay there to watch all the same.

Then after the winner is declared, Casters take the spot for their redundant and shallow blabbing about how amazing the rock broke the window and how glorious the shards hit the ground, then we see some Suits pretending they want to be there giving medals, then, over, it just ended like any other damn LCS game, not even your Worlds Tonight filler afterwards.

I for one end up still early in the morning, feeling dirty for not enjoying some extra sleep and with absolutely nothing to talk about with my fellow LoL fans, is it really just me? I am not saying the show was bad, but even the stage was lame, smaller place, but oh my! the floor is a screen and you get to see pics there! Yess! many screens! that's what kids like to see, fill the stage with screens!

Am I the only one who feels this way? or are there actual valid reasons the show went this way that I am not seeing? Is this what we get for arguably the most competitive Worlds we got to see so far? Dyrus baby crying was the most entertainment show to watch...

I am not putting anything on the games themselves, I can't and won't blame teams for using their every tool available to win, for them, it doesn't have to look pretty, it has to be effective, but the Show itself has no excuse to be this bland. Here I sit typing a day after, disappointed and wishing preseason hits soon to feel excited about League again...

I thought the stage was nice actually! Looked really cool and I liked how the players faced each other

I think the timing difference is just going to be different each year depending on the time zone of the tournament. It has to be at an hour that local people can actually fill the seats, and ideally also a time that the primary stream viewers can watch as well.

Imagine Dragons was meh for me last year. OK tune, and I was surprised to hear the music in a mainstream hollywood movie later in the year.

I would have liked to see a bit more direction and choreography after the finals was done. They just kinda let SKT walk up to the trophy and stand there awkwardly for 5 minutes not sure what to do. But I feel like Riot puts the players in awkward situations on purpose in all of their broadcasts...maybe something about appealing to their awkward audience.

But what about Faker rolling? That made up for basically all of that.
