season 4
i started playing preseason of season 4, so i really was only around season 4 and season 5, but the worlds for season 4 seemed alot better.
Maybe cause Na was better that season, maybe it was because it was the first worlds i saw and i knew pretty much 0 pro players or teams so i didnt know who was favored or anything. I dont really know what the best world championship actually was tho.

I'd say season 2. The meta was far less garbage than S4 worlds and unlike S4 nobody predicted the winner. If you asked anyone who would win before S2 worlds they'd have told you M5 or Azubu Frost. Nobody even knew who the Taipei Assassins were at the start of season 2 worlds which made them winning far more special.
I've watched three world's and I liked s4 the most. I could see why people like S2 but I just liked seeing how lowly people thought of NA and the upset combined with Kabum
That was 2014 right ? Yeah that was the first Worlds that I saw and had to wake up around 3 in the morning just to watch the games.
Yeah exciting games with a "slower pace" as most of the games ended around the 41 min mark, not to mention NA did great and was NA's best Worlds to date.
Pretty much hated S4 worlds in terms of competition, SSW was just leaps and bounds ahead of every single team there.
Watching SSW play however was a thing of wonder. It's just insane how good those guys were.
i still somehow favour S2, but S4 had been really great aswell.
but you know...if SKT wins it´s always a good indicator that the game is in a state were plaing reactive is better than playing activly to win, which automatically means that it´s in a sad state and not all that great to watch.
Well, I went back and watched the final game of season 2 worlds and it was every bit as good as I remembered it to be, except seeing mark merril there at the end... like... he looks so awkward out there... he should've just let someone else handle it.
Tapei Assassins winning worlds was perhaps one of the best moments of lol. In fact, I might just go back and watch the clinching game right now.
