Can you guys imagine watching LCS like this?
With no come back mechanics. Every game is a 15 minute stomp, no competition at all...
Fucking boring...

Good thing the LCS isn't coming back for like another month and a half when this patch will be long forgotten. Also LCS teams aren't solo que teams and don't make mistakes that would decide the game in 15 minutes, none of the ones worth watching anyway.
I hope you realize this is the preseason and it will be fixed... Even though there will be some champions more powerful than others riot always makes it so there is a way to counter them and them not being too strong. (Except for Darius... got 2 pentas in the LCS o.O)
Dunkey said it best; "professional League of Legends has nothing to do with real League of Legends". Keep in mind that professionals play on a whole different level, and the changes make for interesting and exciting new things to look out for no matter how broken the game may be or how silly of a state the game is in. Also, keep in mind that this is only the preseason and things are likely to be balanced out before the ranked season starts up, so it'll be okay.
It's almost like the preseason is for trying things out that would be too dangerous to do during the normal season. -.-
More seriously: yes, I've read your comments throughout the thread. Just because the changes Riot is trying out had the effect of making the game more snowbally (not to mention, the mass confusion during the preseason makes games more snowbally all on its own), doesn't meant that they want the game to snowball harder. For example, here's the only context (patch notes) we have for the tower changes:
Take down an outer early enough and you'll be able to put meaningful damage on the next (or even take it outright!) before it can fortify if your opponent isn't respecting your demolition power.
To me, that seems like they're interested in giving laners an incentive to take towers and keep pushing, instead of just sitting back and starving the enemy team until you have a huge gold advantage.
puts on flame-proof suit
It'll make SKT games even MORE boring to watch.

Ye, cuz we all want 40 mins of watching them go arround putting wards and poking each other, waiting one team fight and game over?
It's almost like it's between competitive seasons so they can make big changes to the game without LCS fallout.
at least we wont have to suffer through a 45 minute game when you know whos gonna win after 15 minutes
That might actually force teams not to fck up in order to win. I'd watch some.

LEAGUE OF GRAVES
idk iv snowballed games and still lost them acuse the other team turrned it around some how
the "15 minutes thing" actually doesn't work in <gold3 games people don't focus objectives enough HOWEVER games ARE decided very early
Olaf - Not like this
Dude it's gonna be kind of awesome imo. I've played 2-3 40+ min games and a half dozen 30s. I think a lot of ques are unbalanced right now w/ people swapping up what mode they're playing and messing w/ mmr. I think if the teams are a bit more balanced they will be really tense matches where no one gives up a big advantage, and when one team is much stronger they can punish the enemy and end fast. If it's a match up like SKT vs Dig or something really one sided, I'd rather see it be over faster and just a crazy display of force rather than a team that's got a huge advantage and is going to very slowly strangle out the enemy to avoid being punished by overly generous mechanics that favor a losing team.
I'm all for being able to come back, but if it's really one sided I'd rather it be a bit easier to close out than it was last season.
People still watch this stuff?
is everyone just having a shit week and unable to leap at chances to turn things around? I've had a good share of close back-and-forth matches, even at times where teammates complain and want to give in.
This is why they do these kind of changes in the preseason.
They know they fucked up, they knew they were going to fuck up, so they did it when there's no competitive play at the time (aka: preseason).
Let's be real, with these radical changes do you think they were going to be balanced in the numbers department (and so on) right out of the gate?
I'm pretty sure they'll work on a few things by the time LCS comes back live. Even though you're right about the 15 minute stomps being in the LCS it still leaves LCS teams to try new things and play in a way that stomps don't happen, therefore different comps, different playstyles, etc.
well yea, and then add the winnions to come ontop - they´re really about to kill esports after investing so much for making it a thing in the first place.
