Discussion- Who do you think are the top ten teams in the world?

I'm curious to see who you guys feel are the strongest teams atm. I'm expecting a lot of LCS bias on these boards, but there certainly are arguments to be made for certain western teams. Qiao Gu in China has been looking exceptional lately, proving their worth at IEM as well. Jin Air, ROX, Longzhu, SKT, and KT have been looking really strong lately, although SKT and LZ have been really inconsistent.

So if you had to rate the teams right now, based off how they are playing, what would be your top ten? Like if all the teams between LCK, LCS, LMS, and LPL were in the same league and we somehow managed a round robin of Bo5s, who would be the farthest ahead in the standings?

Well, it's "easy" to say that ROX Tigers are #1 right now. They're doing what Origen failed to do: adapt to the meta with a team that went deep at Worlds (and one roster swap with Peanut). After that, you have the upper tier Korean teams. Immortals might have an argument for being up there just a half step behind the Koreans, but that's questionable. They can back up their aggressive play and come back from a deficit (or in cases keep up in gold despite falling "behind"). H2K, VIT, UOL, and G2 are too close to call in EU, and I'd rate CLG and C9 right there with them. TSM is on the level of FNC and OG, a team of star players but not a star team.

So...

  1. ROX Tigers [LCK]
  2. SKT T1 [LCK]
  3. Qiao Gu Reapers [LPL]
  4. Jin Air Green Wings [LCK]
  5. KT Rolster Bullets [LCK]
  6. Royal Never Give Up [LPL]
  7. Immortals [NA LCS]
  8. Edward Gaming [LPL]
  9. AHQ Esports [LMS]
  10. H2K Gaming [EU LCS]
  11. Longzhu Gaming [LCK]
  12. Team World Elite [LPL]
  13. Cloud 9 [NA LCS]
  14. Snake Esports [LPL]
  15. Counter Logic Gaming [NA LCS]
  16. G2 Esports [EU LCS]
  17. Taipei Assassins [LMS]
  18. Team Vitality [EU LCS]
  19. Samsung Galaxy [LCK]
  20. YOE Flash Wolves [LMS]
  21. CJ Entus [LCK]
  22. Invictus Gaming [LPL]
  23. Unicorns of Love [EU LCS]
  24. OMG [LPL]
  25. Team SoloMid [NA LCS]
  26. Fnatic [EU LCS]

We'll see where this shakes up in a couple weeks and after IEM World Championships! :)

Jesus, Score went OFF in Game 2 versus SSG. That pretty much solidifies KTR as #3 in Korea with that 2-0 over SSG. It's especially weird considering that SSG went scaling/lategame builds in G1 and yet just fell apart around the Baron play. That's really worrisome going down the line: they could followup on their powerspikes and timings. I did learn one thing, though: you gotta respect Score's Nidalee. That was an awesome series for him both in the G1 comeback and the G2 stomp.

On another note, I do like Coco's Corki. It's a real shame Longzhu couldn't get into the Baron pit for the final Game 1 fight. I was really hype for the extended fight at bot lane dive for ROX in Game 2.
