So here is all four teams from group A and their champ selections. Certainly a few eye openers when you check the stats.

Samsung White (6-0)

G1 v. EDG (Victory) Rumble Khazix Zilean Tristana Nami G2 v. AHQ (Victory) Maokai LeeSin Yasuo Twitch Thresh G3 v. DP (Victory) Ryze LeeSin Talon Vayne Janna G4 v. DP (Victory) Alistar Khazix Zed Corki Janna G5 v. AHQ (Victory) Kayle Khazix Katarina Lucian Thresh G6 v. EDG (Victory) Maokai JarvanIV Fizz Twitch Thresh While Dandy and Mata had all standard picks, Looper and Imp flexed their champ pools very convincingly. But the show stopper was Pawn. This guy ran 6 different mid laners in 6 different games, and won THEM ALL. This will undoubtedly be the most difficult match up for Bjergsen in TSM's game against them in the quarter final.

Edward Gaming (4-3)

G1 v. SSW (Defeat) Maokai JarvanIV Orianna Lucian Thresh G2 v. DP (Victory) Maokai Rengar Orianna KogMaw Janna G3 v. AHQ (Victory) Maokai Rengar Zed Twitch Thresh G4 v. DP (Victory) Irelia Khazix Zilean Tristana Thresh G5 v. AHQ (Defeat) Lulu Khazix Jayce Lucian Janna G6 v. SSW (Defeat) Ryze Khazix Ziggs KogMaw Nami G7 Tie Breaker v. AHQ (Victory) Maokai Rengar Kassadin Lucian Braum Nothing too crazy here. Koro1 showed up every time he ran Maokai, and Clearlove won all three of his Rengar games. NA junglers seem to stray away from the kitty cat, but Clearlove proved the Chinese Rengars are deadly. U in the mid lane seems to trend more toward utility champs overall, but has shown deadliness on Zed and Kassadin also. They play Star Horn Royal Club in their quarter final match, and for me personally I'm not picking them to win, but hey, crazier stuff has happened.

AHQ (3-4)

G1 v. DP (Victory) Nidalee Khazix Fizz Lucian Thresh G2 v. SSW (Defeat) Nidalee Khazix TwistedFate Jinx Blitzcrank G3 v. EDG (Defeat) Nidalee Khazix Talon Lucian Blitzcrank G4 v. SSW (Defeat) Ryze LeeSin TwistedFate Jinx Blitzcrank G5 v. DP (Victory) Irelia LeeSin TwistedFate Graves Leona G6 v. EDG (Victory) Kayle LeeSin Zed Jinx Thresh G7 Tie Breaker v. EDG (Defeat) Rumble LeeSin Zed Jinx Leona Alot of consistent picks across all five positions, sadly this was because AHQ's champ pools were not the biggest. Prydz with the split-push Nidalee never really paid out in any of their games, and Westdoor gave a very inconsistent showing on Twisted Fate. But the two biggest issues to me are GreenTea and GarnetDevil. I understand the Blitzcrank pick, GreenTea wanted someone with insane play-making potential. That being said Blitz is very much a high risk high reward investment, and why he attempted it three times is beyond me. Garnet Devil seemed like he was playing a few patches in the past not choosing any late game hyper carry ADC's. Yeah Jinx is sort of a hyper carry, but she doesn't scale as hard as Tristana, Kog'maw, or Twitch.

Dark Passage (0-6)

G1 v. AHQ (Defeat) Maokai LeeSin Syndra Tristana Nami G2 v. EDG (Defeat) Khazix Nunu Xerath Lucian Thresh G3 v. SSW (Defeat) Alistar Khazix Orianna Jinx Thresh G4 v. SSW (Defeat) Ryze LeeSin Fizz Ezreal Braum G5 v. EDG (Defeat) Ryze Pantheon Jayce Lucian Braum G6 v. AHQ (Defeat) Nidalee Vi Ahri Lucian Janna A result that everyone expected, Dark Passage just doesn't have the exposure to be able to compete convincingly on an international stage. But regardless their picks were the most intriguing of group A. Lots of variety in the mid lane and jungle (Vi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), but the skills and experience weren't there.

There ya go, I hope you enjoy all these Group A numbers. Group B will be up shortly, and C & D will come up when they conclude, bracket stats will come out as they conclude also. Feel free to comment or add anything you see.

Happy warding,
