PG Challenger League by Prodigious Gaming

Prodigious Gaming (http://prodigiousgaming.net) is a community built for the gamers. We run tournaments of all types, 3v3's and 5v5 random soloentries. This is the next step in PG; organized competitive 5v5's. Bring your team into our "Challenger Series" to compete and win prizes, fame and glory! Play to win with your team and earn PG Points and more.

The tournament runs every week, teams will play in the week to week brackets that will be seeded every Monday morning. This will be a round robin format that teams will play each team 2 games a week. We want this to be challenging and yet competitive at the same time.

How it works

Week 1

  • Each team will be placed into either Group A or B.
  • Teams will play against the other teams in their group twice. So Team 1 and Team 2 will fight twice in one week to earn points.

Week 2

  • Each team will be placed into a new Group A or B.
  • Teams will play against other teams in their group twice. So Team 1 and Team 8 will fight twice in one week to earn points.

Week 3

  • Each team will be placed into a new Group A or B.
  • Teams will play against other teams in their group twice. So Team 2 and Team 4 will fight twice in one week to earn points.

Week 4

  • Teams will be placed into a Single Elimination Tournament bracket with the top 3 teams earning a bye for the first rounds.
  • Teams will fight to claim the first four places in the tournament to earn prizes.
  • The top 5 teams will keep their place in the tournament while the bottom 3 will be forced to compete to keep their place in the tournament in a Bo5.
  • Top 2 teams will earn an extra $50($10 RP Cards) each on top of the prizes already earned in RP. That's $10 extra RP per player on each team.

Seeding & Competing

Each week the groups will be shuffled at random. You could be fighting the same teams again or completely different teams. Everyone will play each team in their group twice for a total of 6 games played every week. Team captains are in charge of contacting the other team Captains to arrange start times.

How to join

To join the event, have your team captain register on battlefy.com and then click the join button on the page here to the left. S/He will then enter all the information of each team member in order for you to compete. You must have 5 players when joining and can have up to 7 players altogether; including subs.

Season End

Every season end will be after 4 weeks have passed. The final week will be the "Season End Tournament". Each team will compete for prizes and fame in the end of the month tournament. As well as fight for their spot and to stay in the tournament. At the end of the month the bottom 3 teams will compete in a Bo5 to keep their spots in the tournament. The top two teams will earn bonus prizes on top of the main prizes

Streaming/Live Streaming

While we'd like to select specific days to cast the games and force each team to be on, we are currently unable to do this. However we want to be able to cast EVERY game, and upload them to our YouTube channel - in order to do that we need each teams help. This means you will be required to help us with recording your games in several different ways;

  • Use http://na.op.gg to record your game while in loading screen and request the game to be recorded. Anyone can do this that is within the game
  • Another option is for you to download a program like LeagueReplays(http://www.leaguereplays.com/download/)or Summoner Information(http://leaguelsi.com/)
  • If you use the programs, please email the replay to [email protected] so that we may cast the game and upload it to YouTube. if you use na.op.gg to record the game, just let us know by email and we will locate it in your history and download it.

  • Week 1 - Monday January 5th - Sunday January 11th
  • Week 2 - Monday January 12th - Sunday January 18th
  • Week 3 - Monday January 19th - Sunday January 15th
  • Week 4 - Monday January 26th - Sunday February 1st

Week 1

  • First Place - 3200 RP + Triumphant Ryze Skin
  • Second Place - 2400 RP
  • Third Place - 1600 RP
  • Fourth Place - 800 RP

Week 2

  • First Place - 3200 RP + Triumphant Ryze Skin
  • Second Place - 2400 RP
  • Third Place - 1600 RP
  • Fourth Place - 800 RP

Week 3

  • First Place - 3200 RP + Triumphant Ryze Skin
  • Second Place - 2400 RP
  • Third Place - 1600 RP
  • Fourth Place - 800 RP

Week 4(Finals)

  • First Place - 3200 RP + Triumphant Ryze Skin & $10 RP Card per player
  • Second Place - 2400 RP & $10 RP Card Per Player
  • Third Place - 1600 RP
  • Fourth Place - 800 RP

We've updated the tournament. Each week the top 4 teams will earn prizes to make it more competitive and awesome! We felt that playing for a smaller prizepool and being required to compete for 4 weeks wasn't enough and upped the ante. Thanks all for registering thus far and we will continue to push our events to new heights. If this first 'Season' does well you can expect more to come in the future.
