I have seen this comment countless times today that he was dumb to tower dive. He took a calculated risk. Lee Sin and Leblanc were collapsing behind him. He can either back and die giving up a kill and 2 assists or he could tower dive for a chance to get a kill and avoid two additional assist. I can’t believe the casters didn’t see that and all those who have made this comment. He had no choice.
It's similar to the Darshan play back in the NA LCS that the casters didn't know what/why he did so.
Trundle/Darshan against TSM I think.
It was pretty split second decision making.
One end you can take the flash and call it a play knowing Viktor has the mobility advantage but then you have the scenario above.
Another you go in for the play believing Viktor to retaliate even briefly to get an auto resulting in a trade.
I for one hate overaggression in my games. I'll gladly take lost Summoner spells and call that a good action.
but if he didn't dive and go back and then killed...the Ekko would have been safe.
