Glad we getting new NA teams in MSI and all that but...
I feel this is 50% due to changing games to best of 1. I do hope this is reverted back as that made watching the scene a lot more fun.

Nah, this is better, it prepares players for worlds and it forces them to play their heart out every game because worlds is a bo1.
I highly doubt that it will be reverted back because Riot lost money relatively speaking. I don't think it is due as much to the return to Bo1s as much as franchising and all the changes that has brought to the NA scene.
I do think bo2 would be better - bo3 is nice and all, but I can see where that wears a ton on players, casters, analysts, coaches, etc. Bo2 is a happy medium with pro scene having used a format for it that works well to reward teams that 2-0 their opponents as opposed to merely going even. It definitely separates the field a bit I'd say.
And it actually would better prepare teams for worlds because it forces more innovation or at least consistency while playing the same team. Because at world's, NA would dominate the last 2 years if we just played each team once for group stages. It's that 2nd week... where teams adapt to their opponents that kills us.
