Spilling My Group C Salt

Why am I not seeing more complaints about group C being unfairly weighted? #1 team from Korea and #1 team from NA in the same group? I understand that there are 5 #1 teams from major regions and only 4 groups, so the way it works is to randomly determine which group gets 2 #1 teams, but I maintain that Korea and LMS should be in one group for 2018 (as would be done when pairing high seeds with low seeds in a bracket.) That's not the way it is though, and I'm fine with swallowing that pill.

My big issue is that when play-in teams are mixed into the groups, they put the far-and-away best play-in team into group C also! Like I said, I understand there is going to be some random inequity in the system for group stage. However, here is a chance to at least try to balance things out, but instead they make things even more lopsided. I mean just take a look at the sorry excuse for a bunch of teams that is group A! At least try to adhere to some kind of integrity by attempting to balance things out. Obviously no system is perfect but at least do what you can.

I had to get that out of my system. It's been bugging me all day and I want to get over it and move on. Hopefully my blood pressure will return to normal now. Agree or disagree, what are your thoughts?
