Seed Predictions for Playoffs

At this point, we can pretty much call the playoff spots a wrap with a clear line of teams who can secure their way in and those who need a lot of luck. So...who's going to end where and who gets the coveted byes?

1. Immortals Pretty straightforward here. They have faced all the powerhouse teams and walked away with more wins than losses. Dignitas is nobody to overlook, and Team Envy took a win from Immortals back in Week 2, but with how good all around this team has been since the week off during Rift Rivals, they should be able to win out, or at worst drop one game.

2. Team SoloMid Similar to Immortals, they have a pretty downhill slope for the rest of their schedule. Their toughest yet will be CLG in a split finale. That said, TSM usually has their number and CLG is a bit shaky the past two weeks. They will take the second bye.

3. Counterlogic Gaming As I mentioned above, they have been shaky the past couple weeks, dropping matches to DIG and IMT. Facing NV and P1 gives them a chance to pad their record a bit, but their last week they have to face both Dignitas and Team Solomid, teams which already hold wins over them. With recent flux in their jungle lineup hinting at team problems, CLG will likely go 2-2, slipping out of the bye slot but higher seeded than the Cloud 9 squad they beat twice.

4. Cloud 9 The only major obstacle ahead of C9 is Team Envy. Aside from this squad, C9 only has Liquid, Fox, and Fly left to play, and I expect with playoffs looming they will clinch a revenge win against NV, going 4-0 and slipping just ahead of Dig at the end.

5. Dignitas While they have a rough pair of matchups, Dig has been playing pretty well. After I expect a loss to Immortals, Dig has an easier game against Echo Fox which will likely be a win. Then facing CLG, I give them the edge after a recent 2-0 drubbing they put on CLG. Then with a final game against a reeling Liquid, DIG goes 3-1 the last two weeks and just one game behind CLG and C9.

6. Team Envy Ironic they will have no envy from other teams with the murder's row they have. CLG, TSM, IMT, and C9 are their final four games. While they have played a good split and I don't expect them to go 0-4, I see a lot of losses in their near future, and they are my pick that will slump as the split ends and will have to rally from the bottom in the playoffs.
